Cybertruck roof rack for work..... to carry long lumber on top or plumbing pipe

I don't know about that rack. I'm going to haul two 40 foot ladders, (plus a 16 foot stage) which slide down to slightly over 20 feet. I want a rack length minimum of half of 20 feet. I want a rack NO LESS THAN TEN FEET in length.
Not sure exactly, but that rack seems slightly less than nine feet front to rear.

Compared to my current setup....
Vastly less storage for small items in the side boxes. Like 75% less.
You completely lose the ability put tall items in the bed.
Where do the bungy straps hook to those triangles? Too convenient the way they show ladders sitting on the rack, not tied down at all.

Yea I think an aftermarket rack with risers in the back to get the rack all level are a must if you are putting anything on top regularly and going over 40MPH. The sloped down towards the rear rack system looks nice but isn't going to work for much.

so cool to see all these old posts about what it might be and what it actually turned into. Function took over and they made the truck way better than we all thought. Now I have this rack coming that solves all problems.....CyberRak

Is that a custom made one or is it an aftermarket option? Looks really good and WAY better than the stepdown racks that won't work for anything long or long distance.

its an actual business back east. You can look up on Facebook, Instagram, X and online. I spoke with one of the builders and expects full production in 2 months. I might be able to get one end of March. for All stainless steel to match and durability. Starts at $1900.00

Looked into them, nice solution, especially for the damp/wet vault issue.

Because it means you have to keep driving trucks with internal combustion engines! I don't see any way around it, bummer!

I heard and saw some that have shown a little bit of water getting into the vaullt. In my truck yesterday I was in the rain all day and I only saw water in the vault at the two corners at tailgate which the water drains out the bottom of the tailgate and bed where there's an intended gap. so pretty rain tight I see personally.

In my truck yesterday I was in the rain all day and I only saw water in the vault at the two corners at tailgate which the water drains out the bottom of the tailgate and bed where there's an intended gap. so pretty rain tight I see personally.

Good to hear, have seen some vaults that have gotten really wet, and here in Georgia we get serious rains in the summer. Inability to keep the vault dry with the cover closed is a concern so this aftermarket shell may be the answer.

It somehow never occurred to me that the air suspension's "kneeling" function will make stowing gear on top of a rack much easier. A little too much height can make a big difference in the procedure used to load and tie down.
Now it suddenly occurs, that I would like the rack to be much taller. A little extra space can make a big difference in that side panel storage.

I don't see a kneeling mode on my truck. I do see that when you select Entry its so low Im taller than the highest point and Im only 6ft. truck is so adjustable, convenient and usable.

huh? hazard? the tesla rack or the one I posted about? I think the Tesla cross bar system is a hazard waiting to happen.
