Has anyone else here been waiting several months for a spare tire? I ordered the Spare Tire + Tool Kit through the Tesla Store in the App on July 16th and every time I talk to service they just tell me that they are still waiting to receive them (sounds like there's more than just me). Any idea what's causing the hold up on these? I have to think it's not the wheel/tire given current production volumes so perhaps the toolkits or covers? A bit frustrating to say the least . . .

The tires and wheels are generally available, it's all the other bits that make up the kit. I ordered in early June and finally got installed in mid/late September in NJ. Logistics matter as well, not sure where Colorado sits on the rail lines from Texas or if it's all trucked.

Pretty sure we (CO) are all trucked in as far as I've seen thus far. Seems strange to me though given how often things are listed as OOS on the store in the App that they would sell something as "In-Stock" and yet I'd be sitting here six months later still waiting to take delivery. If this were just some cosmetic piece I wouldn't care as much but I've been actively avoiding going to some trailheads and fishing spots because I didn't want to end up stuck in the backcountry without a spare.

Seems like you've been more than patient, worth a visit or call to your local service center. When I visited in person it seemed to speed up the process, had it within two weeks after that.

I'm with you, always best to have a spare...and a plug kit...and carry an air compressor...and fix-a-flat which I hope to never, ever use.

Dont get me started on this..

Ordered July, received JUST the tire without the kit in November. The SC wasnt even aware there was a kit and a cover the tire was supposed to come with, literally just threw the tire in the bed. After some choice words, apparently they put in an order for the kit and I'm still waiting as were coming into middle of January. Good times.

Honestly I would take the tire while we wait for the rest because I have an emergency toolkit in the smuggler's bay already. I've checked in with service about once a month and it's the same story each time. Even more strange is that it has come back "In-Stock" in the Tesla Store a couple of times since I ordered it so I'm not entirely sure they know what "In-Stock" actually means.

I ordered the winter tire package in September... you know for the winter time aka now. Still don't have them. No ETA. Love when I buy something that is listed as available/in stock and have months go by with nothing.

Took me 3 months. After the first cancelled SC appointment because of "parts availability" I messaged the SC several weeks prior to the next apointment to confirm that parts were on order and everything looked good. They responded - Yes.

I messeged again a week before the appointment and they said the tire/parts were in stock and they could fit me in over the next few day's if I wanted to move the SC apt up. I moved up the apt to a couple days later and they completed the install.

So perhaps being a little persistant and polite will help.

FYI. I have a CB so the "D-Rings" that are included as part of the kit are not needed. It was nice that they left these for me on the front seat. I put them in the last remaining spots available (Front cab side of the bed).

Quick update . . . Finally received everything earlier this month! In and out at the Service Center fairly quickly.
