I'm on Day 3 of ownership, and I already have a short list of wants for the next Cybertruck!

1) Pass thru from cabin to the bed. Could be a) glass slider in the rear window, b) entire rear window goes down, or c) the whole mid-gate can fold down
2) Tilting screen. Would like to tilt the screen towards the driver.
3) Color-changing DRL lightbar. Seems like this would be super-simple to do.
4) Power outlet in the frunk. Heck, while you're at it add a USB-C port as well.
5) Speakers in the frunk. Ultimate tail-gater!
6) Rear underseat storage cubby should be standard not optional.
7) Wireless phone chargers in the back seat armrest. Clears up the cable clutter for the back seaters.
8) Built-in step on the corners of the bumpers. I think most other pickups have these.
9) Footstep ahead of the rear wheel to reach into the bed over the sail panel. I picture something similar to what was on some older military aircraft where there's a spring loaded cover for the step that stays flush with the body until you jam your foot into it.
10) Bed light that's at the rear of the roof. The existing bed lights are nice, but would be good to have one that's higher up as well.
11) 5% smaller so it can fit in my garage. I was so bummed that the CT was touching the front and the back of my garage at the same time with the door closed. I guess I need a bigger house!
12) CyberSUV. Would be an absolute home run. I'm not really a truck guy, don't really need a truck, but I'm carting around this big ol' bed all of the time. A CyberSUV would just killlllllll!!!

That's all I got for now. What u got?

Your number 1 is number 2 on my list, Number one for me is the 500 miles of range they stated at the unveiling, 300 mile range is an embarrassment and it's the primary reason I did not take my order when I received the email from Tesla, notifying me that the truck was ready.

I suspect Tesla could not make rear window a passthrough, or front of bed lay flat like the GM's EV truck due to the frame design and stowage requirements for the tonneau cover. But not being able to access the rear of the truck from the cab is frustrating for someone who ordered the Cybertruck with expectations of it being the baddest truck out there, and the fact that Chevy and Rivian both have greater mileage, charge faster and the bed can be accessed from the cab... well it's just sad that Tesla cheaped out when they could have dominated the market and absolutely killed it. Hell the Chevy truck even has a HUD, something Tesla has been talking about for years.

Seems like just making a window pass thru would be relatively simple. Cut a piece out of the middle of the rear window, add some tracks and a motor. Having the mid-gate open would no doubt require a lot of re-engineering, but would be super-cool to have. I'd be happy with just the small window opening versus nothing at all.

I'll vote for 4 (should be user doable, just takes some work), 7, 8, 9

We did this back in march, merging your list with that (btw good ideas):

-Color-changing DRL lightbar. Seems like this would be super-simple to do.

- Power outlet in the frunk. Heck, while you're at it add a USB-C port as well.

- Speakers in the frunk. Ultimate tail-gater!

- Rear underseat storage cubby should be standard not optional.

- Wireless phone chargers in the back seat armrest. Clears up the cable clutter for the back seaters.

- Built-in step on the corners of the bumpers. I think most other pickups have these.

- Footstep ahead of the rear wheel to reach into the bed over the sail panel. I picture something similar to what was on some older military aircraft where there's a spring loaded cover for the step that stays flush with the body until you jam your foot into it.

- Bed light that's at the rear of the roof. The existing bed lights are nice, but would be good to have one that's higher up as well.

- CyberSUV. Would be an absolute home run. I'm not really a truck guy, don't really need a truck, but I'm carting around this big ol' bed all of the time. A CyberSUV would just killlllllll!!!

-tailgate auto close

-tailgate step built in

-roof glass starlink mount and integrated wiring

-light bar, still waiting for

-Modify mid wall opening window and add open/close/controllable duct work into the bed, to permit heat and AC to enter an closed bed when sleeping or basecamp.

-change review view mirror into larger rear view video/mirror appliance

-2025 4680s Gen 3B, Hybrid Cell, AWD range improves to 440 miles, assuming 3A 390 miles happens fall 2024. 2026 we get 500 miles.

-Washer on rear camera.

-Enable side mirror removal ability and option to purchase add real side towing mirrors.

-Fix the body shelf in front of the head light beam to prevent debris, snow from blocking the light.

-Fix the charging port or provide a CCS adapter that fits.

-Provide an option for a front bench seat so that the CT can fit crew of six, better when as a work truck.

-For the two seat front, fix the charging pad for phone cooling similar to what Porsche is providing in the new Taycan.

-Install a HUD or small screen behind the steering wheel, like the S and X.

-Provide the setup, secure accessory and actual full size spare for the rear bed.

-Create a pseudo mid wall opening to permit heat and AC to enter an closed bed when sleeping or basecamp.

-Create more Tesla wrap install locations strategically across the USA helping us get it installed after delivery, hello from the north east.

-Add window tint installing by Tesla, its the natural companion to wrapping.

-Get more CTs into service centers, showrooms, for demo drives. I dont want to pay Turo $1000 for a one day rental seeing if the CT works for me; know it will.

-Add aux video feed option to display on screen (for towing). Many after-market towing cameras use 802.11 (wifi) protocol so this could even be a potential software update on existing models.

-Correct the Tourneau cover to ensure water proof, need to protect our tools.

-As an upgrade or accessory, add heavier duty upper control arms.

-Some want Steam hardware option for high end gaming.

After about 30 days of ownership, my thoughts..

Center pedestal insert that has old school 12V Cigarette Lighter Socket and it would be nice to have a USB ports. There is a 12V outlet in the center armrest, but I have to use a 120V to 12V converter at the moment for my Radar Detector.

Tailgate censor that prevents you from opening it onto an object (wall, car, trailer jack, etc.) if something is in the way. I accidentally opened the tailgate and hit the garage door and left a scratch on the plastic trim. a quick fix would maybe a pop up warning on screen (stating is the area clear?), and also adding a DOUBLE press feature to open the tailgate using the rear tailgate button...just brainstorming.

The ability to pinch and zoom on the Rear View camera image on screen. image is too small to see details (i.e. Police Scanning)

More CUP holders in the lower tray area! Lots of wasted empty space. While were at it. get rid of the angled cup holders in the door. Switch to vertical so liquids don't spill or leak from bad lids/straw hole.

"Light show" should also utilize the front speaker to enhance the sound experience.

No door handles is nice, but I find myself pulling on the corner of the window molding to swing the door open (to prevent fingerprints). This will eventually wear on the molding clips and make it loose. Need some solution to open doors..What happened to the "Self presenting" doors Elon mentioned during the reveal? Self Opening door would have been great.

NOT having proximity censors was a HUGE mistake with the limited rear view.

a FIX for the phone charger. It currently overheats both Apple and Android phones.

a FIX for the Ghost BAW shimmy
