Delivery Experience - Hazed out front windshield & more

Definitely a plastic offgassing issue. Mine was the same way. Don't expect it to go away with just one cleaning. Takes a while for that plastic to finally settle down.
FYI: it's normal for new plastics to offgas. They all do it.

Mine had a distinct haze on the inside of the windshield, too, in addition to the strongest "new car" smell I've ever experienced (and I've bought more new cars than average over the years). I actually kept one of the rear windows cracked open the first few hundred miles to help it escape. The haze mostly disappeared for me after about 1-1.5 weeks, though I do intend to give it a good cleaning at some point.

For the iron dust, I saw someone recommend at some point a product called IronX (link below). When sprayed on a car/truck it's supposed to dissolve the iron/rust and turn it purple, at which point it can be hosed off. I actually bought a bottle of the stuff before delivery of my truck because so many on here complained about it, but I haven't noticed any rust spots on mine yet so I can't personally vouch for its effectiveness. Lucky for me my local automated car wash has worked quite well on my truck so far.

At least you got yours, I am waiting on my beast and they have not even acknowledged my delivery and I can’t get anyone to call me or respond in the app. Everything is paid and lined up days ago and the service center is just so bad.

I stopped in three days ago to check and make sure everything was lined up for delivery, the store rep told me that they weren’t sure and to check back in the app. I have been doing that and calling and I have not heard anything. Their service is pretty bad

I was able to clean the windshield pretty good a day after I picked up the CT. Although it all came back. I think it has something to do with the AC. Maybe since its new it is throwing out some stuff that is making the windshield like that.

Driving East on my way to work this morning I got a bunch of sun. I wish they tinted the windshield more to help with that. Ill just have to get it tinted at the top.

This was my 3rd Tesla and the 1st time the vehicle wasn't cleaned, they have always had the crew to clean them in the past.

The SC was crazy busy, and I was just happy to get the vehicle. After driving down the road for about 15 minutes I had to stop and buy some paper towels and glass cleaner. It only did a little work because the gassing needed to be cleaned off.

I ended up using a Magic Eraser and then coming back with some more cleaner. It's a bitch though because its a very difficult window to clean.
