DELIVERY TIMING AFTER FULL PAYMENT?

I had the opposite problem. I did a down payment, then Tesla was slow at getting the financing portion completed and it expired. They never contacted me to get the rest of payment -- I ended up contacting them and asking if they'd like me to actually pay for the truck

It was your choice to make the full payment. Most wait until a delivery date or pickup. Paying in full doesn't expedite delivery.

I have sympathy for first time buyers. The app implies you have to make payment to “avoid delays” when actually that’s not true at all.

The app indicated that the CT was ready for delivery and made me do registration, insurance, final payment, etc. before I could continue, BUT still no confirmation on actual delivery appointment. Not happy.

There is absolutely no correlation between when/if you pay and delivery occurs. Lots of folks at the beginning of the year waited for well over 3 months after paying.

Your delivery center should be listed on the paperwork in your app. And they won't generally know until you know.

Jokes aside, I do feel your pain.. my first Tesla purchase was seamless and instant. Walked in, visual inspection, did final bank transfer while onsite, drove away… less than two hours total, only because it was a busy day..

Even with delivery date is rolling the dice because they have not received the vehicle from the logistics company and completed inspection yet.

I paid in full Jan 11th and waited 3 months until early Apr to pickup my CT.

That was back then but now with lot of CTs are ready to pickup, it's odd you don't have any response from them. New recall delays it?

When we picked up our Model 3 in 2018, we arrived at our scheduled delivery time, made a quick inspection, paid the difference with a bank draft, signed a few things, and off we went.

It was a great experience, and one I will never forget, as we waited 2 years for that. I'm hoping my Cybertruck delivery goes just as well.

It's pretty much the same, does tend to vary a little between delivery centers though.
But the app has a lot more in it than it did in 2018. You actually can complete everything in the app and pickup some vehicles without seeing a Tesla rep. now.

Not normal. I've bought 4 new Tesla and I never paid until the day of delivery.

Why did you pay before delivery? Yes, you have that option, no, there is no need to do it.

Well, it's true to the extent that if you have trouble completing the payment, or you pay the wrong amount, then you have time to correct it before your delivery. But I always make sure everything is correct and ready to go, so I just pay on delivery day.
