I just saw this article from Electrek:

I haven't heard of any issues, and I have an early one and have been in service multiple times without anyone mentioning anything to me. Anyone know what this is about?

My guess is, Tesla is going to slowly roll out new drive units to existing FS owners because non-fs is about to get the upgraded one and everyone will flip their lid if the poors get a better version lol

So I'm assuming since the AWD uses the tried and true Model Y motors front and back. The Beast has the two newly designed motors in the rear. And since Kyle from out of spec has a Beast, that this is going to be only for the beast owners. Anyone know yet?

Perhaps the Beast owners are getting carbon sleeved motors from the Plaid series...
