When Tesla unveiled the CT Musk said that it would be built at the Fremont plant. I do not know why everyone is focusing on this midwestern plant. It is possible that they will build CTs at Fremont until the the midwestern plant is operational, but there is no reason to believe that they cannot begin building CTs at another plant. I am convinced that the prototypes will be built in Fremont.
I agree. I think they will at a minimum get one production line going there at low volume to work out the kinks so that they can hit the ground running at the new factory and install multiple production lines that are already optimized and ready to crank out volume. Otherwise, we are probably looking at 1.5 years minimum, more likely 2 years in this CV environment to get the new Giga up and running then another 6 months to hit full production. Nobody got time for that!

I wouldn't put an ounce of faith into the 'order tracking spreadsheet'. It was just put together by people like us, with their own guesses. It may or may not be accurate, but if it is it is probably serendipity. And it doesn't and cannot take into account any/all of the factors that must come into play. It might be easier to guess if Tesla had stuck with the $2,500 reservation fee, but it is really anyone's guess how many $100 reservations will turn into purchases. I had an order for an MY that I cancelled when I put in the reservation for the CT, but the MY looks better al the time. If it weren't for the stainless steel and range of the CT I might even go back (but those factors are strong motivations for me to stick with the CT). I only provide this anecdotal example because 2+ years is a long time for anyone to hold onto an idea/dream, especially these days.
I already "greased the wheels" and bought my wife a Model 3. I am only allowed to wash, wax and vacuum it. I'll be 67 in May, if I get my Tesla CyberTruck by my 70th birthday I'll be happy. Now to nurse my 2006 Toyota Tacoma Pre-Runner Crew Cab until delivery. I've already measured my driveway for the CyberTruck. Recent adjusted measurements has the CyberTruck only 1.5' longer than my Tacoma with a 5' bed.

I would love to know the average age of CT reservation holders. In my unscientific research I've found it has quite a following with the uhhh Sandy Munro generation.

Who is Sandy Munro and has he/she also made a Cyber truck reservation?

I'd be willing to bet that the average age skews to the higher range but that shouldn't be a surprise. Most 18 year olds aren't able to spend the money to purchase a $70,000 vehicle and most who are at least somewhat financial sound will be living in apartments or places where it isn't very conducive for charging at home.

Might be an interesting Thread to start with a poll?

I'm wondering about when reservation #5XXXX might get delivery. Last time I checked, Tesla hasn't decided where they are going to build the factory. I'm not inclined to wait till 2024, I'll be 70 years old then, gasp.
Got a note from GMC today that while the Hummer reveal on May 20 has been postponed, the production schedule is still 4th Quarter 2021.
