Trucks from the Big 3 are nicely styled both in and out. The CT on the other hand has nothing beautiful about it except the charging network and software. Everything else is out of "horrorsville"
I gotta disagree. But I know it falls squarely in the realm of personal tastes. Me, I think pickups in general are snore fests—especially the F150. Like a lot of automobile segments, the pickup crowd seems really stuck in the "it has to look the way it always has" mentality, which is the opposite of basically everything about me.

If I wanted to be matchy-matchy with everyone else I'd buy what everyone else has. Eff the old style.

Sorry… but nope.

As I said I’m not gonna debate style on the Cybertruck, but the last reasonably nice looking pickup truck is the Tacoma. The rest are all goofy looking overly aggressive look-alikes. They even managed to turn the Tundra into a junked up mega truck.

Back about 15 years ago someone got the idea that pickup trucks needed to have a giant front end like a Mack truck and it looks like shit. Almost universally truck looks have been going to hell for 15-20 years.

18 months from now, Austin will be popping these out, one every 30-40 seconds.
Ford and VW will be trying to have little kittens.
GM/ORA is already popping out Good Cats.
Tesla Shanghai already popping out model Y's every 30 seconds.
Incredible how fast the EV world is moving.
Hang on to your rockets!
Currently drooling on the Model X Plaid!

Instead of naming it 'Cybertruck', they should have named it 'Chuck Norris'.

The funny thing is they don't even admit to the fact they buy trucks based on looks, they try to rationalize it by claiming that CT is not a "real" truck.

Guys are OK with ugly trucks because they rather be manly than beautiful. There is a reason for that; when you are in an ugly truck, the ugliness is other people’s problem. You are sitting behind the wheel looking at the sexy curves of the stingray in front of you. Have you ever seen a supermodel move a couch? Dare to be ugly

If you don’t move couches and feel more at home on Milan runways, just get one of these:

Without going through the whole thread, you DO realize that Elon was responding to a tweet from someone who posted a picture of the original Cybertruck, right?

OMG! You must be from an alternate reality. Would you really want this sitting in your driveway?

And I pulled this right off Ford's website which just goes to show they still don't know how to do 360-degree software visualizations (zoom in on the rear wheel and look at the exhaust system).

I have a 2010 F-150 sitting in front of my house and it looks almost just like this but slightly less "fussy". It's an embarrassment. Notice the cringeworthy fake air vent they added between the mirror and front wheel and is that a whip antenna from the 1980's still? OMG!

The inside makes me think of a bad dream (zoom in on the center screen):

I'm probably not the only one who actually likes the Cybertruck styling, but I do. (And I have been driving conventional pickups for 27 years)

It’s ok I understand, it’s reasonable to defend your Reservation of the door stopper, I have one too.

I mean the Pontiac Aztec sold in bunches, no reason this one shouldn’t sell also.

That's probably because you understand just how much better it's unique construction is, both in terms of efficiency and how it makes the truck stronger, more rigid and less damage prone. Form follows function. They didn't style it that way just to be flashy or to make something fragile look tough and powerful.

Possibly. It could also be that as I walked through the parkinglot today heading to work, I passed a truck with a shoulder-high (I'm 6'3") hood and thought "Man, the driver can't see shit in front of himself. Why does it make sense to put the biggest blind-spot right in front?"
