What is this years anticipated Cybertruck production?
I anticipate 10,000 deliveries, maybe as many as 20,000. Depends on when we start seeing trucks rolling off the line.

Musk said it wouldn’t be a big impact on earnings, but it’s a new product line, it takes 9-12 months before they have a real positive impact on earnings.

Weird though.

Doesn’t the tweet imply that the assembly line is in fact complete or at least in place? “The whole line”

could be complete, or the manufacturing line equivalent of “went to walk the new house today”

Nice house C! The OSB for this baby alone will cost you your CT. :)

It’s very likely something along these lines. But you wouldn’t say “walked the whole house” if there was just a bare lot with a pile of supplies and a forms for the foundation. .

Yup, house is a big difference.

A house is more of an end product where a production line is a system of machines & spaces for producing an end product.

Walking "whole" line probably means most of the machines are in position with some ready for use and others not ready for use.

IRDA casting machine might be partially assembled or it might be producing test castings or it might be producing final castings.

You can have the whole line without it being completed or optimized. Think driving the length of a freeway under construction. It's not finished, but the length might be there as they're building the overpasses.
