Wow!!! I checked my RN# to find out what my Estimated Delivery Date is and to my surprise this is what i got.
I order my Cybertruck on 11/27/2019
Est Position 273,116
Est Position for Trim 9,560
Est Delivery Date 2/28/2026

This is a crazy delivery date. It has to be wrong. If this is correct i feel sorry for those who order after 11/27/2019.
I think I am giving up on the Cybertruck dream. I am just going to wake up and get the Lighning Lariat, I was one of the first one that put in for it. #1 on my Ford dealer list!

Bro that tracker is unofficial and means nothing. Its entertainment value at best. Probably shouldn't be basing your decision/frustration on that.

Fully agree. That unofficial tracker is good for entertainment purposes only.

Only certain employees who work for Tesla know exactly how the system works. Some are convinced that current Tesla owners who made a the $100 reservation deposit get first dibs when vehicle configuration e-mails go out. Others are convinced that your reservation zip code has something to do with the e-mails.

Originally Tesla planned on 225k/year trucks. Elon said so early on, when mentioning that they had thought the truck was a bamble. They haven't said how they planto produce trucks since.

With a million pre-orders estimated, it makes the calculator get a bit wonky. The calculator hasn't been touched since spring of 2020, so I don't think it 'knows' any better.

Tesla keeps its production estimates close to the chest. But with a goal of 20 million annual production by 2030, they do plan on getting us our trucks.

The person/people making those predictions don't have a clue about CT production. You know that because no one does, but you believe them? There are hundreds of thousands on this list who would give blood to trade positions with you.

100,000 Cyber trucks at $20,000 profit each = 2 Billion.

That in itself is justification for another location being built in 2022 just to fast track delivery.

Overall, Tesla has at least 10 billion profit waiting on the order books !!!!!!!

I am waiting for either production levels from Austin to be far far far higher than we anticipate or an announcement

Plus there will only be less people once production starts and the time to actually pay or sign some papers. There is also a lot more competition than when Tesla started taking reservations. The final truck design has changed and that means even more people will drop out. I'm 1.2 million in line so I know I will be waiting awhile. My prediction will be at or before 2026. I bet you will be 2024 at the very latest.

Just move out to California for a year and skip the unknown with me by working for Tesla. You get the early hand built hundred and extra repair priority.

Should I apply for a job at GF Austin? lol
While I'm sure Tesla pays decent, somehow I don't think their factory workers make enough to own the stuff they produce.. Or they might be over extending themselves on a purchase of said vehicle with financing that is probably putting extra burden on their living costs.

There are many other Tesla jobs in Austin besides floor workers, but I'm not really qualified for any that would approach my customary salary (Tesla average is ~$50k). I guess I'll be paying full price for my CT

Actually, this is the best paying job I've ever had. I applied on a whim, and drove out from New Jersey. Starting for night shift is 23/hr + healthcare + dental/vision + a bunch of stock. Whenever the stock has a good day I don't worry about the quad-motor pricing. I'm probably the only guy looking forward to the bad weeks, I just buy more stock. I'll refer anyone that wants to apply, certain areas are hard, but Texas should be laid back the first year, and I hear promotions get doled out quickly on new lines. I got a promotion in a year and bumped to $25/hr. Just waiting to head back home to a service center as a mechanic now at my 6 months for my next promotion.

I've heard of ppl having a second job while Tesla is the main one, but I have no idea how. They run 4 on 3 off and 3 on 4 off work weeks with 12 hr shifts. It's a lot easier then I thought it was going to be, but the production line can be pretty rough sometimes, so I'd keep moving and learning. I picked up the entire model 3 interior install in 8 months (about 30 parts). Totally glad I winged (wong?) it since my covid layoff. You could easily finance the truck working here, but I plan to semi-retire when I get it so I need the full amount + savings ready. You don't get a vehicle discount per se, but you do get free FSD through a rebate program. Plus a big discount on merch and 'like new' items such ss tires and rims. Also, employees get the best deal on vehicle lease pricing. And a free solar education if you follow that career path.
