I haven't gotten my truck as yet (waiting for the normal versions in Canada) but over dinner and casual discussions, I have had to face huge negative/ugly comments. Maybe it has to do with Trump but I suspect not as the fingers and negativity started before Trump/Musk pairings ... my response over these casual discussions and chit-chats goes something like this: "Since 2016 or so, people have lost the perspective of how fast information travels on the internet and because of the speed it travels, we may have lost our perspective on working with/seeing/buying things that may not appear normal to us. It is okay not to like certain things but appearance can be deceiving."

I recieved a random ‘friendly’ “I don’t want to see you parking in front of any Trump Towers”… and he apologetically laughed it off saying “I couldn’t resist”..

My energy is good with the world in general and I receive and accept good energy often. My skin is thick as armor, life is too short to sweat the small stuff

Yesterday for me was a banner day with random smiling kids jumping up and down and waving. Made Monday better.

I was putting stuff in my frunk and a guy drives by and says "is that your cybertruck?" I responded yes and then he said "I feel sorry for you!" Then he went speeding out of the parking lot.

I can live with it, I have thick skin. But my girlfriend was really hurt by the exchange and I coule tell it bothered her for the rest of the night. I've had the truck since May, and definitely it has gotten way worse in the last month or so with people attacking me with words or gestures.
That sucks. I’ve unfortunately had to answer the question “daddy, why is that lady screaming at us?” to my young kids. It was really unsettling for them.

It’s unfortunate, but what I have found is, if you buy one of these, you are also buying a front row ticket to a serious mental health crisis.

Less important, but still a thing to think about is, you will have to encounter an insane amount of misinformation. The perception the media is trying to portray is that the truck is absolutely terrible.

The fact that with the bombing in Vegas, the initial reporting was that the truck just exploded. Some of those cited a report that a truck caught fire at a dealership in Georgia, even though that’s now being reported as arson.

A smile or a kissy face is really the only response. We're in bulletproof trucks that can outrun lamborghinis, we should all be strong enough to let this sort of thing roll off our backs.

They notice us, we bother them.
We don't notice them, they don't bother us.
damn well said.

I’ve contemplated whether putting a Harris sticker on it could neutralize any of the hate fueled in politics. I’ve never been one to put signs in front of my house or put on bumper stickers for anything especially not politics regardless of how passionate I feel about it so I doubt I would. It’s just something I’ve thought about. Since the country is so divided politically, there no winning either way. Simultaneously calm those who were angry and make those who were calm pissed off. ?

That won't help but if you want to confuse them (and get them thinking about where they might have gone wrong), just make up some red, white and blue bumper stickers saying: "Joe Biden/Dick van Dyke 2028". ?

I have received more middle fingers in the past 30 days than the previous 9 months.

But, now I know why… it just hit me a few days ago! Elon is now buddy buddy with Trump, and people hate Trump. Therefore they hate me. (Not being political, it’s just true some people feel this way)

I actually feel a lot better knowing why people flip me the bird. Now I can just smile and say “You’re a jerk, but I understand why now, so I can move on.” ?
Same here, I'm considering installing a loud speaker in the frunk so I can tell them to fk off and cry harder.

I just received my first double middle finger driving out of the Kent Costco. I wanted to roll down my window and ask out of curiosity his reasoning, but there were cars behind me.

I think it’s good luck - like seeing a double rainbow. ? ? ?
