Does anyone know if the vault (aka truck bed) is a series of panels or one peice? Received my CT with severe oxidation stains from leaking water. I have tried to clean it to no avail myself. My next step is to try a detailer who might have better luck. If that doesn’t work, need to weigh plus/minus of replacing bed.

I wonder if you can spray paint it?

Pete just posted a 30% coupon on another thread too.

This stuff is awesome. Have it all over my truck. Easy to clean, super durable and looks “black”
I went with the full Abstract Ocean xpel solution too but completely regret it and would not recommend it to anyone. In extreme heat the glue becomes gummy. When I slide heavy things on the bed the material will shift, twist and become distorted. It is properly installed and if I happen to notice the “damage” I can force it back into place while still hot. But now it is just one more thing to worry about and maintain.

The xpel solution costs about $1,500 for the complete set with discount.

A much better option costs between $500 and $600, is far more durable and permanent - LineX. I’ve had LineX installed on all of my dozen or so prior pickups, from Ridgelines to F350’s and a Maverick. Never an issue, truly durable, unlike the xpel, and a fraction of the price, not to mention hours spent installing dozens of pieces of xpel as required with the Abstract Ocean kit. Properly installed spray-on liner is just better.

Good to know. I have it all over my bumpers and wheel arches and sail panels but not the bed. Was considering that.

Get it clean vinegar can do wonders if you let it sit for a bit then rinse off. After ceramic wax it or ceramic detailer will help prevent this type of stuff.

Meguiar's Hybrid Ceramic Wax on Amazon is $20. It can do wonders to keep things from getting water stains.

TEC582 CERAMIC DETAIL SPRAY (1 Gallon) on Amazon for a gallon is great also for $35. For the detailer you may need to apply it more often, but this is basically an area that gets wet when it rains or you go thru a car wash so it should be good for a while after application.

i used citric acid solution, but vinegar should work too. It's basically hard water stains.

Wow, thanks! Any opinion on replacing the front panel?
It would be interesting to see after removing the front panel,
if it is also easy to remove the tonneau mechanism?

My interest would be to get a pass-through midgate
and convert the truck bed into a camper
so I would get the HVAC from the cabine,
something needed if you want to sleep at night using the camp mode.

Here is the process to remove the tonneau cover
Might be better off just getting a RWD 😉

I've seen it assembled on the production line and it was very simple outside the truck. It's lifted into the truck as an assembly. I'm sure it's a complicated process to reverse the install.
