Yeah, it would take ten years to get to $12,000. Wow.Make me want to pass my FS series. Harder to justify the 20K extra now.
Yeah, so that makes the current rental price merely equal to buying it outright.Yeah, it would take ten years to get to $12,000. Wow.
Agreed! I think the more likely explanation is they want to keep the data flowing while they fine-tune the model. The data volume will greatly reduce once the free 30-day trial is over.Part of me feels like this is a tactic to get LESS people to buy outright at the current price.
Maybe that means they're close to something even bigger than V12?
Because if they can get a bunch of people to not buy outright, then they jack up the outright price, then put out something super awesome, you have subscribers for life because they won't want to pay the jacked up outright price.
Plus bunch of people who already have cars get on the subs.
Totally possible that Tesla is needing a cash influx too though. Lol idk
The subscription model has been available for some time, but it was $199/month.
...uhh... and you'll lose principle every month, reducing how much interest you get the next month and then when they end the promotion you'll be stuck paying the higher price...Take the $12k and put it in a mere savings account and it will generate half your subscription cost monthly
Exactly but it will last longer than most will own the car...uhh... and you'll lose principle every month, reducing how much interest you get the next month and then when they end the promotion you'll be stuck paying the higher price...
