FSD wrong side of road!?!?!?

Dry road
Clearly marked lines
Same spot on both occasions
Also had me making a left turn onto someone’s lawn

First time this happened. CT turned onto side street and proceeded to drive on the wrong side of the road. Let it go like this for a while and then corrected it to the correct side of road.

How can FSD get this wrong? I’m so baffled.

That is why it is Supervised FSD. It is still a work in progress and I woulod suspect your experience just helped FSD get better.

I have had assorted problems with full self drive, including the one that you mentioned. I’ve also had it go into the opposing turn lane when turning left. On a recent trip from Nevada, it slammed the brakes on and swerved for a skidmark. I have had assorted other more minor issues, these are just the most severe errors. It is definitely in beta testing, and needs adult supervision. I have reported them all through the feedback system.

FSD did the exact same thing to me today, makes a left turn and drives on the left side of the road! This was a surprising first for me.

I can only say the weather was a little foggy. FSD did not report it was degraded.

FSD in the wrong lane on a two lane highway. This happens all the time - either off to the left or out on the shoulder. Oddly, when I "lose connectivity" the vehicle seems to actually drive in the center of the lane, and stay there. Unfortunately, that is rare.

When your CT lose connectivity, does it make a soft ding/ping sound? My CT started doing that 2 days ago.

All I noticed for the loss of connectivity is a little text across the screen. Hard to notice; I do not recall a sound.

this shows something else that bothers me. I will pic it next time. I shows a crazy route short distance and instead of just going straiht, it routes a left, right, right, past the destination, then a U turn back. But it just goes straight! Whaaat!

Yes, it can happen, which is why supervision is required at this time. Supervise carefully.

I actually have not had this happen in v13. I had a specific road where this did happen in 12.5.5, but since v13, it has not happened at all.

It gives semis when passing so much room that it has put me on rumble strips twice on the left shoulder.

This is my experience almost all the time with the semi’s.

Oddly, I have the opposite experience. The truck seems to cozy up to semis, much closer than I would ordinarily attempt. Visualization shows that I'm basically centered, so I've probably been driving around the big rigs with a subconscious "social distance".

I've noticed other things FSD does that I habitually avoid, mostly out of my distrust of other drivers. For instance, I won't merge into the center travel lane if it will put me into someone's blind spot, just in case they decided to change lanes at the same time. But FSD don't GAF lol

I can confirm this issue. Coming back from Santa Cruz to watsonville CA, there is a turn off the highway where this happens. First time scared me to death. Had oncoming traffic!

Happened 2x yesterday in a very empty part of upstate NY. Good thing. I waited to see if it corrected itself, it did not.
