Not really! It's a bad look to any informed consumer and, in 5 years, this will reflect even more poorly on them by an increasing percentage of consumers.

This is an example of an auto company actively and very openly saying "We can't compete with modern EVs, we are so far behind that we have to actively throw shade on more advanced, more modern trucks in order to sell last centuries technology to buyers that are becoming increasingly more informed every year".

They also demonstrated they don't know the difference between power and energy when they threw shade on EVs by worrying that the EV wouldn't have enough "power" for their towing needs.

Considering the pain and suffering that accelerated ocean warming is already having on coastal communities and populations impacted by storms that feed off increasingly warmer oceans, this add looks grotesque and uncaring to any informed consumer. Of course, I bet the Ram brand never really depended upon the most informed consumers for their sales!
