WTF is it with wrap installers and heat guns?!?!?
Do it right the first time dude!
Not wanting to be picky, but when I see the heat gun come out its a sign that they can't install without it.
What I mean is, if the guy is flattening the (already flat) panel with a heat gun, then he didn't install the film right and is making up for the mistakes by making the film flex to cover it up. Which will over time flex back again.
Heat gun = failure
You can put it on perfectly flat but ALL wrap material needs heated after install to activate and bond the adhesive. Otherwise mold will form under he film in short time and will also crack. If you aren't heating film one way or another after all installs, you are shorting your customer in a quality install.

I am no expert and don't have an opinion but just wanted to point out this isn't PPF it's vinyl, not sure if they install differently.

I was worried that the Stainless steel CyberTruck was going to ruin the Paint Protecting Film (PPF) market, but it looks like the industry has adapted and improvised. With all these people getting their CyberTrucks wrapped I expect the vinyl installers to start pitching WPF* as an essential addition to any wrap. 🤑

*Wrap Protecting Film
Full color PPF films are hitting the market now. Vinyl Wraps will only be for printed applications and full color spectrum PPF will ruin the vinyl market. Watch it's coming fast!

At this rate an unwrapped Cybertruck is going to be the “rare” sight… odd? One owner mentioned the only reason he wrapped his Cybertruck was because they offered to do it for free.

Wondering how many of these other trucks are more “promotional” than customers actually paying to wrap their trucks.

I'm guessing that early adopters are getting a steep discount for the clicks.

They are also contributing to the learning curve lol

I want to DIY it with camo.

I don't want to be spending that much money for a re-wrap after the nicks and tear of delicate vinyl.

With a camo, it can be retouched with pentel and no one will notice, lol.

Not too far off.

I myself is willing for Lance or Northern Lite to experiment a slide on camper on my forthcoming Cybertruck and do joint promo with them if they'll do it for free or a deep cost sharing.

And do added work of writing reviews and gather stats, eg, range, etc on different driving situations and conditions.

The only thing wraps on the hardened stainless steel exterior of the Cybertruck protects is the vanity/ego of the owner. It's a truck boyz ... how many wrapped F150's do you see on the road?

I'm gonna get a dirt-colored wrap, so I never need to wash it
So now that you’re gonna order your truck, I’m looking forward to seeing that dirt colored wrap. 🤣
