Grass Growing in Cybertruck. It's Really Green!! LOL. I don't' want it and neither do you!

ok, I had something hit my rear driver side air deflector or whatever you want to call it, not mud flap. Well anyways a screw was ripped out of it causing it to hang a little bit. I decided to try and remove and noticed the guard was full of water and dirt with grass growing in it! Removing partially I saw I can and need to drill a small hole in the bottom of it to drain the water and remove the grass and dirt.

Removing these takes removing the rear tire, removing half the push clips of wheel well cover and then being able to reach the two bolts that hold these pieces in place. What a hassle. The fronts are way easier to remove by the way and yes all four had water in them and dirt with grass!! I recommend drilling small holes in all four to prevent collection of dirt and water.

The fronts have holes in them already but I suppose they could get plugged. Also, did you do your repair in extract mode? I'm surprised you have to remove the wheel. For the fronts, you can remove the whole inner wheel liner with the wheel still on.

No, just had to remove rear wheels and rear wheel well covers to access the screws that are used to install the rear guards. Oh yes, it's a pain. I ended up replaces the screws with snap pins like the ones that hold the wheel well covers and most of the undercarriage plastic pieces onto the truck

Could this be done on say a new truck, unlikely to have grass or larger debris, say blindly drilling without the removal to gain true access as you have done?

totally normal, happens to boats, vehicles, whenever dirt and see can mingle is a moist area

Right, didn't have to do anything with front fender flare, I only mentioned rear was an issue with removal.

Right. To pull rear tire aero flare, first pull the side rocker trim almost all the way off. The Tesla manual says all the way, but you can leave the front bolt hidden behind the front wheel flare in place.
Then you can twist the rocker trim to get to the screws. Removing/ reinstalling only takes 10 minutes, unless the captive nut clips shift on you ?‍?
