If you say each employee makes 6 sets per hour,

5 emps x 6 sets x 12 hrs x 5 days x 4 weeks x 4 months = 28,800 like you said but, your math should have resulted in 38,400 sets... But, I don't know where you got the 10*4 to start there...

The only way I see Tesla not being able to scale up production of wheel covers is if they have decided to not invest in the capability because they are planning on stopping offering them with every truck. Perhaps they'll be just an accessory and not many people would go out and buy semi-effective hub caps for a truck. I mean, how many trucks have hub caps these days?

I see the end of those truck wheel covers coming soon... perhaps replaced by nice hub covers and lugnut covers.
whoops, yeah type-o on my orig post. fixed.

I agree. I could them them going away in the next 6-12 months. Maybe they'll offer them only in the Tesla shop for a time.

We've all been there. Yeah, I don't see Tesla producing them very long. What happens when your original tires wear out and you want different ones? The wheel covers won't work as well. I mean, they won't look quite right.

So annoying. You can buy them from the store, there is excessive inventory of CTs in multiple places, have been to the local SC several times for the recalls and multiple inverters. No wheel covers as of yet. Sigh.

This is bullshit imo
Agree, this is total horse shit. I was going to put in my deposit for the roadster, this kind of service from Tesla is making me think twice about being a early adopter of their magnanimous plans

Just like FSD (and Summon, still waiting) the wheel covers will come and then we’ll all forget we ever waited for them or decide we don’t like them or they mark up the wheels - which they will like all wheel covers.

With winter coming in the Northeast, not sure I want to see how snow and ice buildup and melting/refreezing have an impact on these covers so they’ll probably sit in my garage until spring anyway.

Now how about restocking those Optimus bot figures?
