Hey everyone, I’m hoping to buy a Cybertruck soon and wanted a quick vibe check. Back in March the sentiment around me felt pretty negative. I live in a more liberal area, and at the time it seemed like owning a CT drew a lot of eye rolls and snark.

Now it’s August and I’m seeing many more Cybertrucks on the road. For those in similar areas, has the hate died down? How are your day-to-day interactions lately: driving, parking lots, neighbors, at work, Superchargers? Any noticeable shift over the past few months?

I’d appreciate real-world anecdotes before I pull the trigger. Thanks.
Yeah after installing my cylinoid powered motor cycle spoke jammer on the front end I don't getting anymore reddit cyclist giving me the thumbs down.

Should be good to go, we took all the heat and cooled it down for you. Enjoy your CT, see you around 👍🏻

In the peak of the hate, Chicago was pretty bad too... Now it's smooth sailing boys..
I heard a guy driving a Black 4Runner saying he was From California and owned a Cybertruck in California said what up to you on the freeway, that's badass!

It really wasn't that bad unless you lived in California, North West Washington, Oregon, or some parts of the east coast.
For the first time in well over 6 months, I had a twatwaffle in an F250 diesel try to roll coal on me this past weekend. I say "try" because he was to my left and I saw it coming. I just sped up as he floored his 'Murica billboard (seriously - was covered in "'Murica" stickers) and his plume billowed out behind me as I stayed next to him. This was western Washington, where evolution is a bit hit-or-miss.

There is a way to embrace it.

Seriously though, I got coal rolled just as much in my 2023 Y as I have in the CB. The middle fingers are maybe a monthly occurence, I just have decided to find it amusing.

I noticed in that picture from Houston that the twisted cross has a line through it. So doesn’t that mean it’s NOT a Fascist Car?
Seems that way. Mussolini and Hitler themselves would not have used the terms fascism and nazism interchangeably either though.
Who cares right? people who use that as a slur don’t actually have to understand what they are saying. Just that it’s ultimate badness.
It’s like calling someone a whore as an insult without actually understanding what prostitution is.
I’m curious if you did a cross sectional survey of the US, what percentage of people could actually identify extreme right wing ideologies in a multiple choice exam.i’m betting not that many.
I guess that’s why it’s easy to recycle some of those ideologies in US politics without people even understanding what they are hearing.
Democratic idiocracy.
Sad state of affairs.

I'm in Seattle and usually get middle finger or a thumbs down on most drives. It makes me laugh. I love that my truck triggers stupid people :ROFLMAO:
I’m up in the San Juans, but I go back and forth to Seattle/Bellevue every couple of weeks. The last couple of months I’m not seeing middle fingers too much in Seattle. Honestly the only reactions I get are on the island I live on, and those are a 50/50 mix of middle fingers accompanied by yelling and honest curiousity. To be fair, it’s a small island population and the middle fingers could be in response to me and not the truck - our island has often been described as an argument surrounded by water.

Unlikely. Still a lot Of hate out there. Flipped off by some
Truckers and then this crap just tonight in laurel maryland. Cops won’t prosecute because they didn’t do damage other then scratching the PPF when punching the vehicle.

Northeast here- i get 2-3 fingers a week. Lots of sentry mode interest, but no more vandalism.

Arizona and Nevada area I get more thumps up and many many people taking pictures of it especially when it's parked in sentry mode. I've only had 1 thumbs down that I know of. The people that don't like Tesla's, don't even know why they don't like them they are just sheep and do what others tell them.
