And Cybertruck production may come to grinding halt if the longshoremen strike lasts for months. Cybertruck assembly lines rely on suppliers from all over the world.

Ineos had to halt Grenadier production in France due to Recaro going into bankruptcy.

This would also cause a delay in getting non FS trucks into production.

I’m confident Tesla leadership is having “Plan B“ closed door meetings on this very topic.

I just used my voucher to purchase an OEM HEPA for $175. Wish me luck on trying to get a price adjustment. ?‍♂

I recently reviewed a 3rd party filter, that seems better than Tesla’s
With the volume of air handled by the climate control system, you can't fit enough charcoal in that filter to make a significant difference. That's why Tesla didn't put charcoal in their HEPA filter. It would need to be about 8 times the size, and changed every month or two.

It's just a gimmick.

Didn't you already pay for it? It sounds like you want a post-purchase refund of a portion of the price, not a price adjustment.

Tesla has never given price guarantees, they have a streamlined business model. Sometimes they set pricing using basic supply and demand factors to adjust demand to the supply. I suspect that is the case with the HEPA filters, they knew they had a limited supply until they could could get more from their supplier, so they priced it high to avoid running out early. What you see is what you get.

Well if I didn't use a voucher to purchase the HEPA and Tesla failed to provide a refund I would just return it. Most if not all companies will provide a refund within 30 days of purchase or you just return the item. Even with the 15% restock fee I would save money by repurchasing the filter.

https://www.tesla.com/support/shop/returns
Unopened and unused vehicle accessories and merchandise purchased from Tesla Shop or a Tesla retail location may be returned within 30 days of receiving the product. Opened and unused products have the same 30-day return window but are subject to a 15% restocking fee.
