They've been leaps and bounds better than the customer service I've received with my other cars.
How can you beat going to an app, stating your problem and then someone arrives at your car to fix it?
I mean, they aren’t perfect, but I have had only good experiences so far… plus I think people that were invested in and a part of Enron might think their customer service was slightly worse… but what do I know

?? So many fanboi bootlickers on this forum that it is hard to recognize sarcasm sometimes. Nobody currently owning a Tesla and forked out the money for FSD will have their car robo-taxiing and making them money.
Will you be willing to rent out your crystal ball?

I have some investments I am on the fence about and could use its help.

Thanks kindly in advance.

“I feel very confident predicting autonomous robotaxis for Tesla next year,” Musk said on stage at the Tesla Autonomy Investor Day in Palo Alto, California. This was in 2019.

Guess I missed the "next year part"

That was from 2019. Every rain and snow storm causes my autopilot to be disabled due to blocked cameras. Every moderate or heavy snow storm blocks the lines on the road. Your autonomous robotaxi out making you money might happen some day in the future but I am confident it isn't soon and when it is, it won't be anywhere with snow until figure out how to fix the blocked camera issue.

I was hopeful for it and I think FSD will reach level 4 someday soon but my hope for robotaxi is waning.

I think even Elon is more focused on Optimus now. I will say though that without the efforts and the investment in FSD, Dojo - Optimus would not have happened. Optimus is a bigger deal then the already big deal in FSD/robotaxi

I have no idea what I would do with a robot like that but I want one anyway.

I got my email two days ago. RN RN11284xxxx

Interestingly (to me anyway, haha!!) is my earlier RN RN11274xxxx is still “Your CyberTruck is reserved”. Both were reveal day reservations.

I was all set to pass on this and wait for non-FS AWD to (hopefully) get the credit. But man I want my CT, haha!!

By my math, it’s ~$10k extra to jump the line with FS AWD vs waiting for non-FS AWD+credit+FSD.

Hmmmm.

I don't think that I've ever had my FSD disabled. It does get degraded, but I don't remember disabled. And even when degraded, we're not too sure why it thinks so, still drives great.

Yes, obviously more deliveries, but the point I am making is we have maybe 50 FSCT ordered on 12/8 and only 11 showing as received. You would think with 50 first day orders, all 50 would have their CT by now. When I said "dealerships" I intended to refer to the Tesla stores around the country. Whether they are stores or dealerships, Tesla has FSCT on display in them. There is one in my town with a FSCT on display. The sales person said it is not for sale. You say "people want to see the CT". Yes, they do, but it isn't like they need to show off the CT to get more sales of CT with 2 million of them on backorder. People can see the CT when it is driving around by the new owner. They have the CTs in the STORE(?) to improve their sales of other Tesla's, and no other reason. Sure, people want to see the CT, but there are 2 million reservationists that want to take delivery of the CT they reserved 5 years ago. I don't mean to fight with you about this, I'm just thinking we are still in the Elon mode of promising deliveries in 1Q when in reality deliveries will be more like mid-year.
You are making assumptions that the ones who got that truck even care about the forum right now. But indeed, those people haven't indicated that they received them yet.

I'm not sure what your real beef with the trucks in the store is, It is the NOT YET OWNERS that want to see what they look like. And unlike California, many people have had to travel many miles to see one. I've known a few people that drove 200 miles one-way to see the truck here in Atlanta. There aren't that many in stores yet, and there aren't that many store either.

You need to sit back and chill, when your number is pulled, that's the only time that you will have any input.

When I placed my CT reservation, I recall FSD was standard. That didn't bother me at all because I assumed Elon was telling the truth when he said soon you will be able to send your kids to school with FSD in a year or so. I also did not have any experience with FSD in wife's M3. I'm pretty sure they made FSD promises to early S buyers (2012 S was $120k, $169k in 2024!). Now I'm being asked to spend $12k extra that was originally standard, for FSD. Add to that, as I understand, FSD doesn't even work on the CT. Add to that, Elon said something like "Obviously, CT FSD development is a low priority". Huh? FSCT buyers are required to buy a $12k option that doesn't currently exist and it will not currently be developed with any priority. Sounds like what Elon told S buyers in 2012.

We are in a "bubble" mentality. A feeding frenzy for the CT. It is pretty amazing a manufacturer has created a product to create this kind of feeding frenzy. Bubbles are created with a rare commodity. Tesla has created this bubble by taking 5 years to develop, claiming lofty performance and limiting distribution. I don't know if this was intentional or just dumb luck. I'm guessing Elon doesn't need any dumb luck!

Hope my VIN comes pretty soon!

FSD was NOT standard, basic autopilot was, as is the case for all Teslas. I've recently gone back and rewatched the announcement. That's what was said.

You are being asked to pay $12k for FSD, you are being offered the opportunity to buy it. And indeed, the FSD Beta isn't on the truck, but should be there shorty.

Elon mentioned earlier this year that HW4 FSD was going to lag behind the FW3 deployment. This is actually a welcome thing, since many of us have had FSD for years and would hate to see the new cars get it and the older ones don't.
They are working at getting your wife's Model 3 working before the Cybertruck. Is that bad?

I certainly did not expect it yet. In CT 11283….
At long last the moment of next decisions has arrived. I , like many, am concerned about the initial issues that will inevitably be worked out eventually. Hopefully by the time mine arrives? I haven’t accepted yet so don’t know the estimated window. My head is still a bit spinning from seeing this in my inbox.
I was invited last week too 11284.... It is a bit worrying for TSLA that so many late reservation holders are being invited for founders series. They are milking the $20k markup for as much as they can down the list.

They need to stop the founders already and go with regular versions, and get scale up so they can drop price. They can't lead trucks being this high.

So, does confidence in the system grow as you use it and trust it,
Yes ....FSD has a steep learning curve. Most people apparently never get over the curve and thus don't use it. People like me use it all the time - having figured out when to trust it and when not to.

But in general you need to pay attention ... but its very useful to me reducing fatigue and can "see" better than me at night, when its raining.

ps : I dropped the idea of ordering FS, if I get invited, because AP/FSD is not yet enabled on CT. Thats how important it is to me. WIth Tesla you never know when it will come - may be next month or next year ...
