1) Seems that the 4680 batteries still may not allow it to qualify. A bit ago the RWD Model Y (4680 cells) had this issue where it didn't qualify. Since they had to outsource some of the cells and it doesn't meet the ...
The 4680 Model Y has not been sold under the new credit.

Yahooooooo!!!

At 3:35pm PST today I received the ‘Golden Ticket’ e-mail from Tesla to order a Foundation Series Cybertruck. I literally had to read the e-mail 3x to make sure I wasn’t seeing things.

Now that I have settled down comes the hard part. I made the decision early on that I was going to pass and wait for a non-FS AWD Cybertruck like many of my other financially savvy members. $79,990 and a possible $7500 tax credit will be easier for me to swallow when purchasing a depreciating asset like a vehicle.

This decision is definitely a true test of my will power. I have waited nearly 4 years and 4 months for my dream apocalypse ready Cybertruck. I will continue to live vicariously through others on this forum. The wait continues…

I’m with you - got my email yesterday but don’t feel like ponying up an extra 20k for the foundation series, I’ll wait for reg AWD CT. So does one just ignore the email? I didn’t see any option to configure a non-foundation one.

When I called Tesla today the representative said to ignore the FS e-mail invite if I planned on waiting for the normal $79,990 AWD model.

Tesla strategically priced the AWD trim under the $80k tax credit limit in an effort to widen their net to catch more buyers.

fun fact: the 1.4mm thick quarter panel skins are welded to an inner shell and then bolted to the aluminum Giga castings

You're not following. Some of us were given the wrong order agreement prior to purchasing and I'm curious if they've fixed it.
No, you're not following.

Tesla makes it clear that the current P&S Agreement when you purchase is the only valid agreement because it does change from time to time. The only one you can sign is the one attached to your transaction.

Shit, dude. Settle down. I want to hear from others that can afford the FS and have gone though the process.

That looks stronger than crap! You don't see technology like this on trucks coming out of Detroit! I wonder what they coated the aluminum with. It's an interesting color.

Then resist the urge to spread false narritives and tell me I 'm not understanding. I wouldn't be correcting you if you weren't so full of it.

Just got my invitation at 3PM today RN112957XXX. I called them to confirm waiting is the right way to stay in line for 79990 price. I also asked if they will honor the 7k price for FSD. She said, that is the price as of now but can't comment on if the price will change when deliveries begin for the Non Foundation Series.

So, are you joining the Skipper Club and passing on a $100k FS?

First post, woohoo!

4 years and 4 months almost to the day. Tomorrow is the 19th, so....

Any way, got my email today. The little kid in me says screw it and snag an FS Beast. But then my Wife says otherwise.

This was a good thread to read. A lot of people are passing as I too will now. $20,000 is a lot to say I was (kind of) first and couldn't wait.

Cheers to being in this club. Now I will be put back into queue for the peasants.

Completely respect your decision, but I think it's not fair to say it's a $20,000 premium that you aren't getting anything for it. Even if you assume they will honor the $7,000 FSD, it appears the wheels/tires are going to be at least $3,000 for them, so I'd peg it more like a $8,000-$10,000 premium to get it sooner. Now, if you're getting a base truck with the base wheels and not planning of getting FSD, then I completely agree...
