It’s not a dealbreaker for me (especially now that I have removed my wrap) but it does tick me off more than a little.
Trying to focus on the excitement of a new car and free supercharging.

It would piss me off to no end either. I would be referencing the previous conversation and ask for a supervisor to respond.
I would also, be super excited about the new truck and the free supercharging as well. I am kicking myself for not taking one of the awd foundations with free SC when I first saw them. Ah well. Such is life.

That’s the thing. I believe right or wrong that I have in my Tesla app one of the last undelivered FS AWD in the country so I’m not keen on exploding the deal. Otherwise I’d be all in on the supervisor conversations and such too. But to really deliver a credible threat you have to be willing to walk away or the other side can smell it.
pussy move? Maybe. But if I lost this deal over $1000 I’d be pretty mad at myself.

Totally fair. I agree with you.

So if anyone out there is specifically hunting for a low mileage well taken care of tactical grey FS AWD AT with pricey tint everywhere, xpel armor on all the plastic, and awesome fiberoptic starlights inside, hit me up for a VIN. It will be in Tesla inventory in short order.

Yeah, it bites, but discretion is the better part of valor. You'll make that money back in the free Supercharging on the family roadtrips in no time. And in less stress enjoyment.

This got me thinking. It might be that it's not just the wrap that lowered your initial offer. If that is correct, then perhaps the reason the offer only went up $400 is because you did not remove the other stuff like the fiber optic lights.
In my case, 3 w ago, I' did not have a wrap. I only had some small carbon fiber appliques like the rearview mirror covers, badges on front and back, and side camera covers. The thing that they were most concerned with was the screen swivel mount. Perhaps the difference between what they told you and the actual offer became is because the fiber optic lights are still in it.
From everything I have read, they want the cars as close to factory as possible, so will dock you on the trade for a value they feel "matches" with the cost to restore the car to factory.
At this point, it seems like more of an academic discussion that might benefit other, as the benefits for you definitely outweigh the negatives.
Post some photos when the new baby gets home.

Yeah. I asked about that but didn’t get an answer. I did also remove the lightbar and told them as much. I think it was more likely the mileage than that but I guess I’ll never know.
Overall I’m still pretty content with the deal.
The net result if anyone is wondering (though I don’t really see how it’s relevant anymore because there don’t appear to be any more FS AWD’s I’ve been able to find), is that I forked over $24650 all told to Tesla but will be saving $14970 over the life of my car loan switching to the 0% APR. so net cost $9680.
For this, they got my 10,000 mile FS AWD which I got a $2500 store credit for and bought my cybertent, minus the cybertent. Keeping that and pretty much everything else it came with including my “PowerShare installation”, which wasn’t really anything since I already have powerwall 3. Just an inspection by the worlds most crooked electrical cartel q-merit. Interestingly I think I knew a lot more about my installation and how it works than my so-called expert inspector. It was shameful really.
I got a new FS AWD with new accessories and free supercharging for life, 250 miles on the odometer and a new warranty start date that’s a year fresher than my last. Also new tires. And an “upgrade” to the optional white interior though I would have preferred to keep my tactical grey.
Worth $9680? I think so. I have a model x with free SC and I KNOW based on my experience I’m going to be getting a lot more than the $5k estimated value of free SC over the life of the car.
Having to redo my accessories, well, that’s on me. I didn’t have to install any of them in the first place.
What does everyone think? Would you have done the same? Did I get the hose? Do ok? Genuinely curious what your opinions are. Deal is done.

So. I’m guessing the general consensus is “not a good deal” because everyone seems to be polite and I mostly hear crickets.
Oh well, I’m happy with it and I generally would rather regret something I did than something I didn’t.

I think the money doesn't matter if you are happy. Many things in life are not financially the best decision, but that isn't the only measuring stick.
Is it the "BEST" financial decision? Maybe. Maybe not, but If it were me, would I be happy with it? Yes. I would.

Thanks mark. I feel the same way.
The transaction pain will be soon forgotten but the sting of buying a FS months before they came with free SC would likely haunt me for a long time. I’m pretty petty like that.

So it’s done. Happy to introduce the new and soon to be improved version of Cyberbandit, the Bluey truck.

I asked for a trade in estimate just for the hell of it - not interested in actually getting rid of it. They offered me $67k for my 25k+ mile 65XX VIN AWD FS which was delivered last April
