The government will most likely bail GM out and taxpayers will be stuck with another GM > $11.2 billion loss. Mary Barra will receive a golden parachute...
Agree. When Ford announced the 'battery campus', saying it was going to be paid for using their projected profits I knew they were full of it. Ford sales overall have been dropping for years. GM is also spending money they don't have and operating 8 years behind the leaders.

Legacy U.S. OEMs are going to say that the Gov't EV push and climate mandates forced them into a position of bankruptcy. All while ignoring the fact that they, themselves, started their EV push a day late and a dollar short.

Then after the bailout they will keep limping along with a generation behind everybody else products like in the 70s to most of the 90s.

Cybertruck and Tesla lives in the minds of GM rent-free.

I'm all for a bit of fun and games but this joke doesn't even make sense. It's almost as bad as "watts to freedom" (WTF).

Also, what does GM and Hummer have to do with the Moon or moon landing?
The moon buggy was developed in partnership with GM.

It has to do with how far out of date their EVs will be. The manned moon landings they are referencing were from 1969 to 1972. Since the leading edge EV1 was produced between 1996 and 1999 I'd say that GM will get their full on EV game together about 30 years later so maybe between 2026 to 2029? Maybe that will be in time to save them from total failure? Hopefully?
The moon buggy was developed by GM and Boeing.

Which is a very dated connection. I wasn’t even born back then and people are telling me I’m to old to be relevant.

If that’s the last time GM did anything significant for the good of humanity, they are seriously in trouble.

An event my parents and grandparents enjoyed.

I don’t think they quite recognize how oddly dated that reference is.

If Tesla were doing branding on the Cybertruck, I could totally see them using the SpaceX branding on it and it would be much more interesting/ relevant to those of us under 60.

You know… the company taking us to the moon in this century.

A Cybertruck with this sort of branding would be popular.

Rocket motor is optional.

Why did they use that icon for lights? should have been the 4x4 button. I enjoy the sauciness though. I like it when Elon dishes it out, and I like it when others respond. More entertaining than most of the crap on TV.
They (Hummer) didn't. This is an icon you can assign to an auxiliary switch. Then you can label it anyway you want. Somebody wrote lights by that, probably just to try it out.

This makes a little more sense then, thanks.

The Hummer may very well be able to drive over the CT as depicted in the image. However the CT will be unscathed afterwards. LOL.
Nah, wheels are too wide. It would get high centered on the peak of the roof As the Cybertruck roof narrows.

In Doug DeMuro's video review of the GMC Hummer EV, there's a shot of a button graphic on the touchscreen menu that shows the Hummer EV driving on / over top of the Cybertruck. ?

Shameful. "gm" should fix their burning Bolts before getting cocky about this electric monstrosity.

As I posted before, my 2010 Chevrolet Camaro SS goes like a bat out of hell but can't retain an accurate time or date in its electronic stereo head unit.

Based on this, I think buying an electric vehicle from GM/gm is a risky venture.

That the Hummer will crush the Cybertruck makes about as much sense as:

"Mary. You electrified the entire automobile industry. I’m serious. You led — and it matters"

Sheesh...
Well it does exist and it is very heavy and capable. Is it better in most measures. No way.

If GM wants to play the space card. Imagine if Tesla sold CTs with front bonnets and tailgates made from used SpaceX starship scrap. They could take a (non-crashed) flown starship prototype that they get over the next year and strip it down, then make a hundred or so bonnets/tailgates in Austin from the skin before recycling the rest. As long as it doesn't break any ITAR rules they'd make a KILLING off of a "SpaceX Orbital" special edition.
