I think the super short VIN-to-Delivery dates, are the byproduct of "Reservation Holds", which I almost did. Person assigned VIN requests a hold, which Tesla does for 185 days. However, VIN is now reassigned to the next person in queue. By then, the window between VIN and Delivery is super tight.

Then there's referral points, and shareholders.

I got my VIN at 119 days. I told myself I'll show up at the Tesla SC to pick it up as a sourpuss ass at how MN was treated, but I know I'm going to show up with a sh!t-eating grin. Ha ha hah!

This experience has totally soured me on purchasing the next new vehicle from Tesla. I'm eagerly awaiting competition to catch up because competition will make everyone better, including Tesla.
