Why would you pick the CT to do that with vs a model already available. If the answer is the $8k saving in autopilot you’re probably off to a poor business model. You have now waited until money is much more costly to borrow which will surely have wiped out that $8k when you could have been buying other teslas to do this with.

What proportion of reservation holders had come to this conclusion and it’s the major reason for their reservation?

My guesstimation/feelpinion is between 10%-20% but I have nothing to back that number up.

no, you're right, that's a solid estimate, I'd say more to the 20/30% but these concepts are difficult for people to understand in my experience so I'd say it was more of a 'loophole' for those who saw the value than we would give ourselves credit for. my view/opinion.

I'd say only around 20% of the people I meet even know or have seen or respond to the word Cybertruck. I get dumb looks every time I mention it ha ha I say oh, it's an autonomous cargo hauler. That's the best I've got to explain.

Lol I mean I just ran across this literally just now, what the fuck is this Twitter poll 50-50 ha ha for people who are wanting to buy an electric versus not buying electric. Seems impossible that this question exists. my point exactly, can you imagine being a person thinking about buying a car and it not being electric? If you’re in the ICE camp, then I have very little interpretablability to be able to relate other than interpreting it as a cry for help or something esoteric. 👇

This is just speculation, there is no way they can equitably exercise such a strategy.
Equitable? You seem to constantly want to set the rules of distribution. Tesla has no obligation other than to return the $100. Predicting Tesla's business pratices is not difficult, and they won't be following what you think is fair. They also won't be giving this guy his ten Cybertrucks until the queue is minimal.

There are literally thousand of posts on TMC that thoroughly demonstate that Tesla runs their order queue soley to their advantage. There is no first come first served.

...Except that's pretty much how Tesla works? Aside early-production to employees (they already have NDAs and you want the makers to eat the dog food), model availability, and regional lock outs. Which are pretty natural divides.

I like to discuss the rules of distribution and merits of the strategies possible.

Tesla will do as they see fit.

We are here to express our opinions on that. If you don’t want your opinions challenged don’t voice them in a public forum.

There are examples where Tesla has ignored the queue.

For each of those, there are hundreds of people who were silent because Tesla worked through the queue in a predictable, linear fashion.

You are pointing to the outliers as if they the norm which is not true.

I don't see any problem in generating market recognition just by way of the unique styling of the CT. Previously this has been done with the Smartcar, and the Mini Cooper. Likely others.

A home cleaning service could use graphics on a fleet of CTs. A pest control biz would be hilarious. Etc Etc Etc.

Hey everybody, the Cybertruck season is getting near, and I'm moving into the potential of putting these beautiful trucks out onto the road as a business.

I would be served best with partnering, as there's so many aspects to this operation.

Is anyone interested? And/or, does anyone know of a forum for people like me to connect w each other?
I wonder how Earthman is doing with his Cybertruck fleet?

Turo rentals went from $1000 a day, to $500 a day, to $250 a day so thinking maybe not great.
