He also said if there is a problem he will swap out one of my gen 3 WC for the UWC. But he was still verifying that the Gen 3 will work or not. Guessing this was just something that would take 5 minutes to swap out he might have just added a buffer to the quote just in case?
As for the age of my WC one is about 3 years old and the other is 6 months old.
Ah gotcha. Since the UWC is included in your $2,500 credit, they really should give it to you (unless they are knocking down the installation price by the wholesale value).
Is the WC close to the where the Gateway is going? That will impact effort to run the signal lines.

No I have about a 40 foot run from the gateway (where they plan to install it) to where it’s located on my garage. But there was a snake line run for 2 more wire pulls to where the original insulation went. He was thinking ahead because when they were originally doing the installation ran, I was going to have each WC on its own 60 amp circuit.
Instead of running a whole new line he suggested a sub-panel and the wireless charging. However I wasn’t really sure that would work so to save on time he threw in 2 extra snakes to pull wire if the wireless load share didn’t work.
Now you are asking why I have a WC that’s 6 months old since all this was done 3+ years ago. One of my original WC charging handles stated to over heat and throw off errors. Well it was under warranty so Tesla sent me a new one when I returned my broken one.
