Ditto… test drove one last night and pulled the trigger this morning on just a basic AWD. Had an original reservation still sitting out there and thought it would be awhile yet early this summer so back in July ordered and took delivery of a ‘25 R1S.

I like the utility of the R1S since we got rid of our X7 and Model X Plaid but there are things that are just off like their Drivers+ which almost got me wacked a couple times since the highway went from something that was mapped to a “new” road. My wife’s ‘25 MINI Countryman system is far superior to Rivian at half the cost.

Saw my VIN was already assigned in about 30 minutes and it’s ready to scheduled for delivery and I have yet to do any “tasks” yet ?.

Anyway can’t wait to be back in the Tesla family again!

Well, I placed my order for a new Cybertruck this afternoon. I will be picking it up next week so I am pretty stoked right now. I will be watching as many videos and reading as many forum posts as I can between now and then. Can't wait to take that one and a half hour run home from the Tesla service center back home. Now to start learning the tips and tricks about the truck.
Congrats!!! I've had mine for 5 months today and it's been a dream. My June/July build is literally flawless (haven't found anything wrong yet). I wish I could go through the joy of picking it up all over again. You'll love it!

Not yet. I went to the Tesla SC yesterday but they were so busy that I didn't want to do the test drive. I'll surprise myself on the way home on delivery day.
This is what I did. I purposely didn't do a test drive when a friend showed me his. I wanted my first driving experience to be with mine after pickup....it was freaking amazing!

Congratulations! There are many videos and as you are probably aware many are not accurate. You would be well served to read the Tesla owners manual. I finally read it after 6 months. There are essentially 18 buttons on the squarkle (steering wheel) and two valuable buttons on the right side of steering wheel and I didn't know what they were for until yesterday.
This forum has been an immense help to me both before and after taking delivery.

Thanks for that. I have thought about reading the manual and that is definitely good advice. I agree that this forum rocks and it seems it is like a brotherhood. I am surprised about the number of responses that I got with this first thread. Thanks everyone.

It only took me a few hours to read through the manual. Well worth it!

A surprise it will be. A very pleasant one. This thing drives like nothing else.
100% agree. And congrats (I got mine a little over a week ago).

The one thing I noticed right away when driving slowly (in a parking lot or parking the car) is how sensitive the steering wheel input is compared to a rack and pinion steering system. First few times I turned the wheel I made the body roll a little lol.

I didn’t understand why everyone was saying the steer by wire is so cool, etc but once I drove it, I understood. It (along with the 4 wheel steering) makes the truck drive like a normal sized SUV.

Also, you may need to get used to the 4 wheel steering then backing into parking spots or taking tight turns. ?

The forum isn’t convinced this dude actually owns a CT and there’s zero evidence he does, so there’s that.
I was wondering how long it would be before I ran into a troll on here. For the most part the forum is great but you always have to expect one or two naysayers.

Finally ordered mine too after the money fell into place. Original ordered was in 2021 when I got my current job

I’ll be doing the lease on the AWD after my M3LR depreciated a massive amount over the past two years, will decide whether to buy out early depending on the next couple months.

Now the final wait is happening lol

Just because a person says they are disappointed, doesn't mean the dude is a troll. Forums are exactly that - arenas for discussion.

Did you use a referral code? $2k off sticker. Worth cancelling and reordering if you haven't used one. Happy to offer you mine.
