Yes - location zip code is going to be the #1 driver here on cost followed by model type/replacement cost, driving record and credit score. When I moved from MN to WI my states “insurance rating” brought my premiums down dramatically by itself.Insurance needs to be quoted with what type of coverage for which model CB/CT, Driving record and location.
Because of a huge disparity rates based upon the insured, insurance quotes from another person, in another location, of a different age, with a different driving record, etc, are pretty meaningless.Insurance needs to be quoted with what type of coverage for which model CB/CT, Driving record and location.
67 y.o.I know this has been covered by others, but I thought it was worth mentioning again. I have coverage automatically with my policy for 14 days from date of purchase so I’m currently covered (until Thursday) with my policy that has my home and other autos but my broker let me know they had to farm out the CB to 5 other carriers and he sent over 2 that were “competitive” while having me maintain my present coverage which I don’t want to give up on my other vehicles.
The two carriers they sent me were Progressive and Travelers but I’m not a huge fan of these big box style insurance agencies; thus the reason for my broker I’ve had for 9yrs shopping my policies every 6-12 months.
Since it will be a singular policy without a multi-policy discount I thought I’d ask the forum here who they have for their Cyberbeasts?
If anyone is interested in the denial reason they claim the high value of the car and the cost to replace parts, but I’m not really buying that because I’ve had a McClaren on the same policy for 2yrs before selling it and they never had an issue with that.
Hi. Would you please share the current coverages you have with geico? If you don’t want to share them publicly I understand. You can then let me know and I’ll provide you with my contact. Please help. I’m trying to get insurance for my CT but everybody is refusing to help. Please advise.I have GEICO. Only about $90 more per month to add
I received my insurance cards from State Farm today in FL. I thought it noteworthy that the collision portion of the CT policy was nearly 4 times greater than on any of my other vehicles.Guess I’m gonna have to give State Farm a call.
Farmers has a lot of back and forth negotiation involved, but usually pays for all required procedures. Currently, many ins co are trying to force body shops to use aftermarket, used or reconditioned parts and Farmers is no different. Less scrupulous shops will use them to please the ins co - but be aware, a Certified Tesla Collision Center is forbidden under contract to use these parts under a threat of certification removal.Curious about your experience with Farmers? We had an accident in May 2024 and we had good luck with a repair done at Tesla Collision Burr Ridge (IL) on our Tesla Model X. A bit of back and forth since there was some 'frame' damage with a front drivers fender/tire slower speed sideswipe.
Tesla initially gave me a reasonable rate and then, when it came time to renew, with no changes to me, my record, or the policy, they doubled the rate.Tesla gave me the best rate for both my M3 and the CT. No one was even close.
State Farm covers the '25 AWD at slightly more than the '24 RAM 2500 it replaced.State Farm is also providing coverage. Quite affordable too, I am only paying $85/mo.
