I have a separately metered electricity connection in my back garage where electricity is ½ or less the cost at the house, unless I use power during peak hours (where massive penalties apply). Is there a way to plug in CT but guarantee it doesn’t use grid power outside scheduled charging sessions? Does low power mode impact this? Seems like CT always uses wall power if plugged in regardless of charging schedule.
I was just perusing my Telsa App and came across this setting, it might be exactly what you wanted. Should work once your Powershare and UWC get installed.

House tab -> Settings -> Vehicle Charging

After a mere 1.5 year wait, i almost have my gateway and wall connector installed.

Turns out the wall connector can have its own two zone schedule and won’t output power during the one “off” time zone you get to specify. It does let you set complex schedules for keeping track of cost of charging…but the schedules only works when connected to internet, and my wall connector can’t hold on to a WiFi connection to the router 4 ft away for more than 15 minutes.

My gateway itself doesn’t show up in my Tesla app. I presume it’s installed or commissioned wrong or maybe it’s not supposed to be there…either way, I can’t power the building with the CT…

Treehouse, the broker, doesn’t actually communicate with the local electricians who do the job. They quoted me $325 for also adding a whole home surge protector and the install guys knew nothing about it. What can one expect for free stuff that comes with the car? Not much I guess!

You should be able to add it to your app. In the settings in the app. Add device. The. You can reset the charger by pressing and holding the button for like 20 seconds. If you didn’t set it up it could be on the wrong WiFi, that’s why it keeps disconnecting.

Electrician is here…he didn’t connect some wires between gateway and wall connector. He just flipped in on and tested backup and the gateway started smoking. I grabbed a video.

That seems like a much worse problem than what I was trying to solve, not being able to control the universal connector for the app.
