And all 5 have the build quality and trims equal to a 90’s era Kia Sephia. The price is for the technology.I dunno playa. I get the "volume" angle to your argument but 3 out of 5 Tesla models have >$100K trim lines.![]()
I'm going on the contrary here and saying it has everything to do with profits. Why not hire a less achieved worker for less money when it benefits the bottom line? Everyone's favorite words when discussing Tesla. Profits and margins.Unfortunately this has become the nature of our workforce- no-one gives a damn about the quality of work done anymore. It’s hard to find honest people that will do good work, this has nothing to do with Tesla. That is the reason every business tries to automate - one day the net in the sky will build everything. Or maybe optimius.
Van Nuys, CATesla hires high school drop outs that have never worked on cars before. This has been my experience at every SC I have been to.
Which SC did you go to?
That is really shoddy repair work! And I don’t buy “it’s just a truck BS” mentioned as responses-that’s not the point. From the appearance of the bulges, just a matter of time before they work their way loose. Be persistent and try a different SC.Definitely not going back to that service center again, they asked me to bring the car in so that the supervisor can take a look, I told them no, and request them to transfer the case.
They do make quite a bit more noise. That's why we see these posts - rather than them just getting it quietly fixed or never noticing. It's not acceptable service for any vehicle, let alone one selling for over $100k. I don't know why Tesla owners aren't making more noise over the constant quality and service issues with our vehicles.
Why do you buy them? Why are you here? This is turning into Reddit. lolAnd all 5 have the build quality and trims equal to a 90’s era Kia Sephia. The price is for the technology.
Because they are fucking awesome! My CT is the best vehicle I’ve ever owned and I’ve been driving the shit out of it since March with almost zero issues. I also have a model X Plaid. I won’t buy another brand vehicle. The build quality is still shit coming from P car, MB and BMW.Why do you buy them? Why are you here? This is turning into Reddit. lol
Interesting perspective. Why not help the community make it better?Because they are fucking awesome! Haven't had to take mine in for service yet. But unlike some pickup complains, my pickup experience was very good (although I didn't need a lot of assistance), and it was clean and everything was decently aligned and attached. It's not acceptable service for any vehicle, let alone one selling for over $100k. I don't know why Tesla owners aren't making more noise over the constant quality and service issues with our vehicles.
Thank you. If you are not happy go back and get it fixed. Too many people, nowadays ask rhetorical questions to be part of the conversation. Of course this is not acceptable. I get mad when my $50 internet service doesn’t function the way I, expect it to. Regardless the price it is the expectation of things working and looking the way you bought it.This whole “worth over $100k” thing has to stop. The CT $100k price is for early access to a vehicle that at one point was very difficult to get. Tesla is not a luxury vehicle and the high price does not equate to an elevated level of service or fit & finish of the vehicle. The price you pay is for the technology. Don’t expect anything other than a bad ass vehicle (1st Gen) that has some issues as any other new vehicle has. Enjoy the damn truck!
i honestly think the problems you have are dependent on the service center you go to and not the value of the CT. None of those issues should be a thing on a brand new truck(30k,40k, and definitely not 100k). I’ve had an awesome time with my CT and the service repairs have always been fast and reliable. I’m a first time Tesla owner, luckily my service center is great, I don’t have many options or any options to switch in my state.Granted everything you said! I do love the truck. But c'mon, spreading glue evenly should not be that hard. Even the quickest quality inspection after the service, and I want to emphasis after service should be able to see these things. As I said on my original post, I knew what I was getting into on a 1st Gen car, but this post is about the service quality.
