Thanks for everyone's replies. After seeing a few vids, it seems somewhat weather resistant. I think it's yet to be determined how it will hold up against heavy downpours and snow.

As for being secure, I agree its only secure to a point, and likely if a person really wants to could pry it open with a crowbar. It will be a work truck, while some tools will fit in the frunk, was hopping to be able to leave some others in the bed.

Someone in another forum was asking, but is my stuff secure in reference to the tailgate being up when using the Cybertent.

I'm like really? Secure? It's a freaking tent.
It seems like these days, of the thieves can't open it electronically, they'll bring in a drill and the dang lock out.

So yes "secure to a point"

I just drove about an hour and a half in heavy rain condition. When I got home, front half of the bed is wet. The back half remained dry.

I tested my new delivered Cybertruck Vin 43xxx, in a spray yourself car wash bay the other day and same thing. Water entered the front part of the vault. I have a service scheduled with Tesla already and will have it added to the ticket.

Late to the party, haven’t read all the responses, but in my personal experience, the vault is as theft-proof as you can ask for. Waterproof, not as much. A little bit gets through after an automatic car wash dumping gallons upon gallons on the thing. No standing water or anything, it’s just a little bit, but don’t leave anything paper back there.

Agreed, which is why you do this!

Sounds like this is still an issue with the newer builds.

In another video (by a woman and her husband), they clearly showed how it’s just a basic small strip of cheap foam. They also replaced it with a rubber seal.

At the price point, you’d think they would’ve put a rubber seal on it from the factory
