Are we all forgetting that it's possible to take a loss in the beginning of manufacturing a vehicle? I think it's totally possible that Tesla decides that in the long run they can make the truck a reasonable price and just take a hit on it for a while. They seemed pretty confident that it would be cheap to manufacture.
I think the R&D is the hard part and that's about done
I sincerely hope you are correct. That would be awesome and fair, but I'd be really surprised if the three motor CT started below 80K.Tesla will always start out in a hole because of the $ spent for tooling, gigapress and R&D etc...
The $100 reservation saved our place in line and locked in the FSD price.
I assume that as soon as Tesla reveals the final CT pricing people will be allowed to respec their orders and that will lock in the price. I don't think we will see a price drop on the CT until all backorders are filled so tesla needs to price it accordingly .
My hope is that they make the truck pretty close to the origional pricing and then they can hit us with options ( 2nd screen, rear screen, solar roof etc...)that can all be added after purchase. This would make the truck more affordable and allow people to upgrade as they wish (outside the motors and battery size)
I
I'm gonna say it one more time.
There's no quad motor.
Send it to the presses.
We will get 500 miles of free supercharging for each chicken submitted at delivery. This may the most ridiculous thread next to measuring the truck with chickens. LOL
This is not how pricing works.I think this whole stainless steel, gigapresses, etc etc might be more expensive - at first.
That's why the Cybertruck has been delayed, not why it'll be unaffordable.Part of the cost has to be related to the battery(s). By now Tesla expected the 4680 to be cheaper, and yield more energy than the 2170s. It sounds like they are not there yet.
I appreciate this more than you know hahahahhahahaha
I'ma be buying a stack of eggs.We will get 500 miles of free supercharging for each chicken submitted at delivery.
No chickens were harmed in production of CT.I'ma be buying a stack of eggs.
Cybergus, I hope we can count on you not choking any of 'em
