Key for electric vehicles

Why does the key need to be a keycard? I would like to see one shaped like a ring, a bracelet or something else that can easily be worn so it doesn’t get lost. Let’s think outside the keycard. Anyone else? Thoughts?

I almost never use a keycard, the Phone as a Key feature works exceptionally well.

I am buying a couple backup cards so I can convert one into something I can add to the necklace I wear most of the time. Either that or I'm taping the card to the underside of the car.

That's kind of surprising considering there's a Fitbit phone app that can even summon. Well... It claims to.

I see 2 in the App Store, one for about $30 and the other for about $12. The first is called ‘remote’ while the second is ‘watch app for Tesla’. They both boast a lot of features but I didn’t see anything about lock/unlock on the ‘remote’ app. Yesterday I had my wife lock the car with my phone inside and then I shoved the key card into my wetsuit. I need a better solution.

With all my vehicles, I have a valet key or metal non-electric key of some kind. When I go in the water, I tie the key on a string and use it as a necklace under my wetsuit.
