Wish there was a picture of the bed, the current bed is one of the worst parts of the current truck, ability for gravel, dirt, etc to fall through the cracks and pile up by the compressor is a bummer, glad new owners will get more of a work truck bed.So it looks like its just open bed unless you pay for the soft tonneau? I dont think you can upgrade to the hard.

That's marketing. You offer 3 versions. Top trim is too much money, bottom trim is missing too many features, they will buy the middle one.Yup and electrek stole the words out my mouth. Basically this variant will likely push those on the fence to opt for the premium features
Electrek’s Take
I might be wrong, but I would assume that the previously announced $61,000 Cybertruck is not going to happen. The Cybertruck is likely proving to be too low-volume to warrant producing different sizes of battery packs.
However, this version might be just to make the $80,000 Cybertruck look better.
It’s not to lose the AWD, the tonneau, the adaptive suspension, and even the bed outlets for $10,000.
THE DOORS BLOWN....'Riders On The Storm'It’s nice that the single motor has a rear locker. Just like the old Tacoma prerunners.
can’t wait to blow the doors off single motor CT’s!
Fleet f150s are around $33k, and ford usually has a 7500 off discount for fleet. At that price, gas savings just doesn’t cover it yet. That’s roughly 10,000 gallons in fuel price difference.Higher range, lower maintenance and operating costs should bring fleet buyers into this model. Then there's all that sweet, sweet, depreciation and potential clean vehicle tax credits, both state and federal.
Lots of F150's are fleet, which helped make it the #1 seller for decades.
Same here I will admit it’s only been maybe 2 weeks but I still have no buyers remorse for pulling the trigger on my foundation series I took delivery of. I wasn’t prepared to pay 100k plus but in the end I was happyI paid $100k
I regret nothing
I don’t see anything about it being removed. Due to the length of the truck it honestly needs 4 way steering. So I’m sure it’ll stayStill has 4 wheel steering, right?
Suspension. No adaptive air, and springs have a limit, harder springs equal worse ride, softer springs means worse towing capacity.Makes you wonder why only 7500lb towing. I'm pretty sure they didn't change the casting process for this version, and 300HP is still plenty adequate. Also ~500lb weight reduction doesn't explain it either. Highly suspect plain marketing...
So it HAS(?) rear steer.....Other things worth noting:
- Has different wheels
- Has fewer speakers (15 speakers + 4 subs vs 7 speakers + 2 subs)
- Doesn't have HEPA filter
- Textile seats (only has front heated seats)
- No rear screen
