Easy to remember with this one sentence... my IP taught this to me before I ever soloed, and I never forgot it.oh yeah. You’re right.
Drivers side=left=port=red.
Sharp audience here. ?
Awesome. Will use that with my kidsEasy to remember with this one sentence... my IP told taught this before I ever soloed, and I never forgot it.
"Who LEFT the cork off the RED PORT wine?"
100% agree. A traditional turn signal stalk now seems as ergonomic as a crank on the front of a Model T. Excellent ergonomics on the squirkel. After driving my CT for 3 weeks driving my daily driver I drove for 12 years felt so awkwardly quaint. And easy way to remember and to let muscle memory take over is down on a stalk is in the same direction you turn the steering wheel, which is the same for which button to press (down). Right turns are all the same, except reversed, clockwise, and up, etc.
The problem with stalks is you have to reach for them, and decide if tap or trigger is need to overcome the detent. With the buttons, you only need to press and HW4 takes care of the rest.
I drove for 36 years with stalks, and now 7 months with a CT, I see stalks as far more effort, since my 2022 MYP has them and I rarely drive it anymore.
Good catch, I realized that after I put them on, so I may swap the re & green. ?Except for the fact that a ship or airplane has the red on the left or port side and the green is on the right or starboard side. OP has them reversed on his squircle.

That looks very nice. I know I’m in the minority but I just don’t care for the CF look. Don’t like it in the plaid either. For whatever reason it’s always bothered me.I applied a carbon fiber overlay to give the squircle buttons a more tactile feel. It just uses holes instead of [bedazzle] bumps.
(I also have a CF sticker beneath the overlay)

Had my CT for a year and 30k miles, still wish the left & right turn signals had been located on the left/right buttons modules, respectively, of the steering wheel. That looks very nice. If someone made a piece of plastic that was plain and shaped just like those pieces I’d buy it. Brushed metal maybe or grip tape texture like the top of the dash in the AWD or alcantara or something like that.
For that matter, I’d even buy the center console hardware and the front dash piece everyone likes to change out for CF if they were in what I thought was an attractive finish.
are those cf steering wheel pieces expensive? I guess I could wrap them.
Color position corrected per FAA regulations.......Except for the fact that a ship or airplane has the red on the left or port side and the green is on the right or starboard side. OP has them reversed on his squircle.

How long have you had yours? For me it was the same until it finally clicked in my brain after a few months. There are a handful of things with the cybertruck, even just with Tesla's in general, that literally require you to rewire your brain, but in the end I think are actually way better.I always have to take my eyes off the road and move them over to the turn signal button to figure out which one to push. Give me back a stalk! So much easier.
I got used to the button layout within like a week…to the point that it’s muscle memory now. Only problem is when I drive my wife’s ICE car I keep reaching for steering wheel buttons even though I’m in her primitive peasant car. ?OK, the CT is awesome. But I always felt there should be button "locations" on the steering wheel. So, I bought these gem stickers on Amazon. After 3 weeks, I will continue to use them. I placed 3 on the left side (left turn signal, right turn signal, & high beams), and 3 on the right side (front camera, wipers, & mic commands). These helped me to adapt so much better to the CT steering wheel controls.See image. These stick-on plastic gems are approximately .200" diameter & .080" high.

FYI, there are way too many gem stickers in this under $7 pack. But you can customize as you please.....
Wipe down surfaces with alcohol before applying, that will make them stick with no problem.

Not sure I understand the purpose. I don't usually look at the wheel to use it.OK, the CT is awesome. But I always felt there should be button "locations" on the steering wheel.
