I got the bolts for the rings and installed them yesterday. Honestly, I don't like it. They stick out too much, and the silver really catches your eye. It just looks wrong. I have an appointment on Saturday morning to mount in full beadlock configuration. One of the benefits of full beadlock is if you do have a blowout, the tire will likely stay on the wheel. Ignore the dirty garage...I have a plan to get the flooring done and completely redo it for my truck! :) As far as weight goes, they are pretty heavy. I think the UPS guy said they were about 50 pounds each, including the ring.

Your wheels and tires look awesome! I would definitely stick with recommended psi though on the highway. Beadlock or not, you're risking disaster with low psi on highways IMO.

Oh, for sure. I wouldn't think of using low PSI on the highway. They do feel slightly mushier in the beadlock configuration (than stock configuration with trim rings).

Do you know what you’re doing here? Are you driving in a lot of deep sand or mud at low psi? It seems like a poor application for the CT either way due to the weight to tire flotation “ratio”…

By mounting in beadlock you’re really taking a lot of risk especially with the potential for failure. This is not a safer tire for road use. It’s intended use is off road at low psi but very specifically in low traction scenarios where you would benefit from reducing tire pressure. I have beadlock ready rims on my Bronco Raptor in Moab but I don’t even bother dropping the tire pressure most of the time because it isn’t necessary for many situations even with decent amounts of sand and mounting actual beadlock rings would only make sense for certain terrain/conditions and it’s just not worth the hassle/risk for on road driving.

Beadlocks make total sense if you’re turning your CT into a uniquely off road oriented machine but IME it has limited capability due to the suspension design and heavy weight. Also you lose quite a lot of ground clearance when you let air out of your tires and quite a bit more with a 7k lb vehicle.

My intended use for beadlock wheels is winter driving on city streets (we get a lot of snow up here in Michigan). I plan offroad use in the summer (mostly sand or trails). I will not be doing a lot of driving in the winter, and I check beadlock bolt torque regularly (at 50 miles and every 500 miles thereafter). If any highway driving is needed for longer roadtrips on the highway I'll likely be switching back to the stock wheels.

report back on your driving experience in beadlock. did they put any kind of locktite on the bead bolts? like the removable loctite? (orange i think)

I ordered these Martian beadlock wheels on 9/27/24 and at the time the order said it would take 4-6 weeks for delivery.

It’s over 7 weeks now, I emailed Martian today and they replied that I would be getting them now around Christmas time, yes almost 6 weeks from today.

If you are interested in getting these wheels from Martian, don’t expect to get them anytime soon (or as they advertise on their website).

I’m currently thinking about canceling my order now and getting a refund.

I ordered mine on Sept 4 (a couple weeks before I picked up my truck), and received the wheels on October 27. You probably missed the cutoff for the initial production round. I'd stay in line if I were you (I'm not associated with Martian Wheels at all). These wheels look amazing and I've had a lot of comments on them. They really transform the look of the vehicle. Have not run them offroad yet, but looking forward to doing so.

Oh wow! Thanks for sharing the update. You may want to just go with Method Race Wheels. They also have beadlock wheels, but now have a new technology called bead grip. Check them out! https://www.methodracewheels.com

So one month after installation, I'm noticing that the bolts provided by Martian Wheels are already rusting. I have about 1000 miles on my CT since installation. We do get road salt up here in Michigan, but I've taken it through the car wash quite a bit to get the salt off. Martian Wheels told me the provided beadlock bolts are "extreme strength stainless steel with nitride coating." Is it normal for stainless steel bolts to rust like this? Also, the facility that installed my rims did not use any anti-seize compound when installing. I'm thinking I will need to replace these bolts soon before they seize up, and use some anti-seize compound while I'm at it.

i havent experienced that at all, but two weeks ago i did get the wheels and tires put on. i didnt realize until they were being installed that the kit didnt come with Lug nuts. what did you use for that? i guess i assumed Martian would include matching ones. really happy with how it looks though
