I tried searching the forum but I couldn’t find any related issues, if this has been discussed from the past already, my apologies.

So I’ve noticed this for quite a while now, I can’t remember if I noticed this from Day 1. I wasn’t sure if it was normal but i thought of asking maybe some has similar experience.

I hear this “bang” noise at the back of the truck, it’s like something hits the stainless steel body.

Maybe a but similar to the noise when you stop the charging but make it louder and more metal type - like something was thrown to the body of the cybertruck.

At first I always thought when i hear that sound like something dropped in the vault or tanneau cover or something hits the body like a fruit falling or something similar. But i realized one time that i was park in a covered parking and no car parked beside me so a bit impossible of something hitting. Since i have noticed it more often.

I do notice this when I am parked only, either charging or not charging. It is not very consistent, sometimes i don’t hear, sometimes i hear it like 2-3x while Im parked or charging. Sometimes a few mins after I parked, sometimes a few mins after I start charging.

That’s also one reason why i hesitated to bring to service coz I am not sure if i can replicate the sound or explain to them properly since it is not consistent.

Anyone had experience this? Appreciate any thoughts on this as well. Thank you.

I have the same Noise in my CB. I believe it has something to do with the air compressor either turning on or off Or something to do with the electric Contactors

I have it also in my CB, I brought it in for service because it was the first EV I've ever owned and thought that sound can't be good. They told me it was normal noise from the contactors and I haven't had any mechanical issues so far.

I get a loud noise like this occasionally when shifting out of park. Almost always after rain or a car wash. To me it sounds like the parking break releasing but gets stuck when wet.

Thank you all who have provided responses, appreciate it. I never had it with my Model Y so somehow i was bit worried about it but good to know that this seems to be normal.

And to the moderator/admin, apologies for posting to the wrong thread and thanks for moving properly.

It may be the pressure relief valve on the air compressor. I get it sometimes when I am at a stoplight. I asked service to look at mine because it would sometimes release late with a large amount of pressure and it would result in a loud bang.
