Mileage at Delivery Seems High

Picking up CT on Wednesday- reviewing agreement states mileage at 26. Is this normal? Seems kind of high for a vehicle that was never test droven by potential customers and is coming direct from factory.

I had a Brand new AMG just off the 18 wheeler. Mercedes ran It 16 miles for testing before it got on the truck in Alabama. They were most likely testing for kinks to be worked out. If a well established model was 16 miles, 26 means they wanted to make sure it’s in the best possible condition before handover.

Our first Model Y had 2 miles on it when we picked it up. Every salesperson at the dealership is joyriding your truck before you get it. One guy posted that his Cybertruck had actual scrapes in the metal and the wheel wells were full of mud from them off-roading. Really wish Tesla would get control of their sales staff. If you see over-fly videos of the factory, these Trucks are just going from the building to the lot. Maybe the ones the go by rail need to be driven from the train yard to the dealership but the trucked ones should have single digit odometers.

Gigafactory Texas is a mudhole, just driving it around after a rainy day makes it look "off roaded." Watch Joe Tegtmeyer's videos on YouTube to see what I mean. Past Teslas for me have had between 6-18 miles.

My Model 3 had 2 miles when it was delivered in March of 2018. I could see them driving around the Giga Texas track a little. Based on how tight-lipped employees are, I think Tesla has pretty tight control on what employees can do with these FSCT before delivery.

I don't know how to find the post but I think he said his came with 46 or 47 miles. That is a lot.

I was told by Tesla advisor that 25-50 is normal as they get moved from lot to lot.

My first model Y had about 50 miles on it. I've talked to several Tesla team members at different locations and almost none of them have driven one yet. The only people who have are the employees who got early numbers and the delivery staff who move it around as needed for delivery.
