The lead CT has already lost the outer charge port cover piece. It's a given this will be common. Maybe needs a 'bungee' for when it 'drops' or cops a blow(?)

No, I'm pretty sure it's still there, I think we're just seeing the printing cover picking up dust. The shine lines match the rest of the fender.

That does bring up the point that maybe a blanking plate to go into the socket would be a good idea for those in dusty or offroad adventures. Playa dust gets in everywhere and loves to cake up around the charge/fuel ports.
