OP, you’re not alone. I’m having the same problem. Following this thread to see what I should do next. Thanks for posting.

I hear a constant buzzing sound when driving my vehicle, loud enough that back seat passengers get headaches. Occasionally, I also receive messages about the air compressor overheating. I brought the vehicle to Tesla, and they replaced the air compressor. However, the issue persisted, so I returned to the dealership. This time, they told me the compressor was running due to saved geolocation data and said they cleared it.

When I went to pick up the vehicle, the air compressor stayed on for around 10 minutes, even before I left the parking lot. I went back inside to speak with the service reps/techs, and they told me the vehicle is functioning as intended.

Is this normal? Does your air compressor stay on more than 80% of the time and occasionally overheat? Here’s a video showing what I’m experiencing.

This is not normal. I do not have that problem. I think it’s a leak some where in the system.

I have the exact same problem too! I think there's a leak somewhere too! I've been meaning to schedule a service, just haven't gotten around to it, but this thread makes me worry they won't help !

I’ve had a similar issue as you. I would hear a compressor vibration noise for the first 5-10 minutes of driving each day. My thoughts are, Compressors are naturally noisy, but it is important to it from vibrating against other hard surfaces. The first few minutes of driving, the compressor needs to turn on to fill the air bags and to prime. I took it to the SC twice for this reason and the second trip seemed to fix it. My first appointment, the SC replaced my rear compressor and bracket. The noise was still the same. On my second trip to the SC, they replaced my rear compressor and the tech said he added some additional rubber gaskets to the feet of the compressor as the ones that come with the truck seem to not be thick enough. This fixed the vibration issue I was having. Everything seems good now.

I'll be taking mine in for service for this very problem once I get my other car working reliably. Mine usually only stops when the pressure relief valve activates. So I'll hear the compressor running for a long time and loud whoosh sound then it stops.

Mine on CB was quiet until they did some rear motor service. Turns out one of the compressor mounts was broken and maybe the insulation was not put back on. Once they corrected that, the CB was quiet again. The compressor did run, but unnoticeable until you listened for it.
