Because 2 is better than 1. It takes 2 to make thing go right.
I'm sorry, did you just quote Rob Base??? :giggle: Or was that Marvin Gaye? Or....egads Katy Perry?!?!?!

Seriously, if my wife was interested, I'd go two. There's no way my garage, wife, life, or pocketbook could support two but if they could, I would.

I had a Countach poster on my wall in the late 80s and had the actual car in my garage 10 years later. Like you said, it was a maintenance nightmare, so I replaced it with an NSX, which I still have today.
Well, for a cybertruck.... for sure it will not fit in your garage. The model S can easily go 500,000 miles... I best you 100% your Honda NSX will not pass 200,000 miles.

Like Frank it took me a long time to distill a response.
I think your argument is that different people see different things. I belive that is a definition of good art. But that would mean the design of Cybertruck is good as opposed to Frank's opinion and opposed to dating very quickly.
The measure of success of a tool is not that it was superseded but that it was used to build the next generation. This measure of the model T makes it iconic and precludes it from ever being rubbish. The same is true for the Neanderthal, thier genes reside in modern humans.
So if Cybertruck progenitors practical enviromentalism for truck people, as Tesla did for cars, then Frank is wrong again. He thinks the design is anti environmental because for him environmentalism is niche and aspirational instead of practical and present. (Yes I'm saying he is old, and because you implied that old things that are superseded are rubbish, rubbish!).
Bye, Frank.
The problem is that old Frank is still calling himself a guru. But Thank to Frank.... more free ad. for the cybertruck. Just remember that The Catholic used to chop off your head if you did not believe in Their Catholic's God. LOL

I've already built a custom new garage for the Cybertruck, and it will fit in there just fine. My NSX is not a daily driver beater. I only have 22,000 miles on it. I have a Hummer H3 for that, and it's not likely to make it past 200,000 miles without some major engine overhaul.

I love the loft... Looks like a great place to hang bikes and racks and gear you can just drop down onto your vehicles ^-^

See, sharp angles can look natural and beautiful. I don't know what Frank was talking about.

I wanted an open and high ceiling like the rest of my house and attached garage. Like you said, it can be useful for extra storage. I was thinking about a double car lift above the Cybertruck. There is plenty of room for it.

I read the comments about the Model T's with some interest.
Henry Ford did not invent the automobile....they had been around a while before he came up with the concept of mass producing them using an assembly line and standardized parts. Prior to that most cars were hand built by a team of specialists that each made a component and then they assembled the final product. It made for some beautiful (and damned expensive) cars. Remember the Duesenberg?
What Ford did was to make the automobile affordable to the average working man. They were basic transportation and you could get any color you wanted as long as it was black. This was also the time when the petroleum industry was evolving. Gasoline was a by product of making Kerosene (Coal Oil to the old timers) which was used for heating and lighting. Gasoline became a cheap fuel for the automobile. The gas station was invented right after the automobile went into mass production.
I see a parallel with what Musk is doing with the electric car and truck. He is making them available to the masses at an ever decreasing price (cue the rumored 25K Tesla). He is also creating the infrastructure to allow these vehicles to become mainstream by allowing them to be charged at home and on the road. This had been a sticking point for electrics for a long time.
I find it ironic that everybody is lauding the Tesla semi when at one time back in the day there were fleets of electric trucks in many large cities that used lead acid DC batteries. These were fleet trucks that delivered goods over set routes and distances. There were several write ups about them in Popular Science magazine over the years.......usually whenever some electric vehicle breakthrough was announced only to fade away when battery life, mileage and other factors quashed them again.
It looks like all the technology is coming together at just the right time for the electric vehicle to become mainstream. I'm not betting the farm that ICE vehicles are going away in the near future but at some point in time we may see it.

Haters gonna hate. Can’t reason with emotions. Look at the whole country. He doesn’t like it. So what? You all know the old saying. Opinions are like sphincters everyone’s got one.
