He is infatuated with the cybertruck and I was just wondering if there is a way that he can ride in one as a birthday gift. Would love to, but in Texas and Lafayette a bit too much of a RoadTrip for me. I do enjoy letting kids that seem to be infatuated with the CT either sit in it or take them for a quick ride. Kind of makes my day! Adults too for that matter, they tend to turn into kids when they get a ride. The acceleration part is the best!

LOL - and here I have only the AWD, when I tried to add it to UBER last May Uber didn't know what a Cybertruck was to add it....
I've given plenty of demo rides for kids birthdays and anyone else who asks, still asking about $350/day on Turo and those have slowed some in 2025, the funniest was Saturday a guest who in Nov 2024 reserved by CT around Memorial Day this year, then just Saturday

when I tried to add it to UBER last May Uber didn't know what a Cybertruck was to add it....

I contacted uber through the app, said I got this truck I want to add to my account. Support said reply to this message with the registration and insurance info and they manually add it. Uber added it as the model X. Plate match’s so riders don’t care.


also Lyft has it registered.

That’s hilarious! I had a similar experience with Lyft customer service, found their contacts here, and they were super helpful when I needed to update my vehicle info. They quickly added my Cybertruck without any issues. It’s funny how Uber and Lyft both seem confused, but at least the plates match for riders!

While driving today I noticed a cybertruck at the gas station that I was passing. Well, I pulled in and asked!! So if all goes in our favor he will be picked up from school in a cybertruck!!!! I hope it goes even better than it did for my grandson. About two weeks before I got my AWD, a friend got his Cyberbeast and let me borrow it. First, I went to pick up my daughter, who works from home. After she rode around a bit, she said, "I get it." She was the first person in my immediate family locally other than me to do so. She said, "We've got to share this with someone; let's check Griff out of school since he wants to be an engineer. I think they will understand."

So we did, and they did. It was amazing. We rode him around for about an hour and then took him back. The other kids and the school staff loved it, only to find out later that the little trip cost him his perfect attendance award. But he said it was worth it!

Same. I’ve given rides to kids in the neighborhood. Even let a kid drive my beast (off road, of course, no need to break laws).

Unfortunately he had to go out of town, but when he gets back we will go! Also, how crazy/cool that our kids both have the same birthday!
