Tesla said what the event was about. Notice the word “Cybertruck” is not on here?

If you don’t want to be disappointed by Tesla’s events, read the invites and set your expectations accordingly. Most of the time they stick to the script.

The scope of what they discussed it pretty mind blowing IMO. How many companies have this kind of ambition? The audacity of it is quite astounding. Lets calculate what it would take to completely transform the world's energy economy and talk about how we're going to do it, or at least, how we think it could be achieved.

Then some dude stands up and says "I want my Cybertruck!!", stamps his feet and pouts.

I was hoping to hear more about HW4 as well, but, the actual topics covered were likely much more important.

On the flip side... I do really hope the CT includes some way of getting A/C into the bed. Going to be very sad if it does not. 😜

Was a launch feature. I suspect it’ll be there. Maybe not 17 outlets like some people want, but most of us just want 1-2 outlets for our e-bikes or quads.

I’m still holding out hope that there is some sail pillars or rear quarter panel storage. That is the ideal place for a power center and charging bay.

I mean the cooooool type of A/C, the one that blows (well reliably, and not just on your birthday).

Oh yeah, I'm sure there will be power outlets. I just want some air circulation, even if not sleeping under the cover, I would think some of those small tent accessories that propose being like an annex/extension over the bed could be sufficiently cooled by some A/C venting from the truck itself. Just seems like such a wasted opportunity to make it such an excellent camping option. Let let me crack that rear window down a bit, or some other way to open up a pass through for some air movement.

Meanwhile in the financial circles, a thread similar to this one is raging about how they didn't "show us the money!!"

If you actually listen to and understand what Tesla is saying, the financials of what was presented is absolutely mind-blowing. But what are the chances that the financial pundits will see it? I suspect there will be more FUD ahead. And looking at the Tesla stock today, it very well seems like that might be the case.

It’s funny, when I’m camping I almost never want AC, I want heat so didn’t even occur to me. I haven’t looked for HVAC into the vault.

Mostly it’s just that it cools off at night naturally. Even when it’s 95 outside during the day it’ll usually be below 70 in the evening. If it’s not… well hell with that noise. I like being outside.

Having A/C when camping just really extends when you can camp comfortably, be it for heating or cooling. Well, the camping probably won't happen that often if I'm honest with myself, been planning on doing it in my Y since I got it, but still haven't gone.

Just heard the news and the big financial story was the Tesla stock price drop. Apparently financial analysts were not happy because they did not get to see any actual new vehicles. They wanted a "cherry on top" of the presentation.

Meanwhile I'm like:
✅ Save the planet.
✅ Lower the rate of cash expenditures by an enormous percentage
✅ Demonstrate how we will make trillions of dollars in the next few years
✅ Revolutionize how vehicles are produced
💣 Show a picture of one more car design

Clearly Tesla is failing us all. Better drop this stock like it has serious cooties.

Stock started dropping well before the presentation was over. In fact it was dropping within the first few minutes of the start of the presentation.

Matches the average attention span of the financial media. The first few minutes were Zachary Kirkhorn telling them what would be in the presentation. Right then and there decisions were made.

Typical. Tesla gets a stock whack. Short sellers, and the illuminati lol

We just heard one of the biggest life changing announcements ever.

Elon needs to walk around again carrying a sink!

In fact, I would argue that in 15 years or so, we will be able to look back and say for certain that this investor call was when the world changed. Now we may have another big change coming in a relatively short while regarding AI. But on the planet health front, financial boom front, and general level of hope for the future, this meeting is probably the big turning point.

The financial idiots will never even recognize that the meeting was the one they were at and that they completely tuned out one of the most important things to happen to our planet.
