Yes indeed! It is my turn to have a story so here I am....
Last night was a normal routine of park and charge the truck overnight. Woke up this morning, went out to unplug and drive and noticed it threw an error: "HVBATT_a259 Unable to charge - Maximum charge level reached. Reduced maximum charge level - Schedule service"
I was charged to 79%, quickly researched the error and uh oh..this is a big one! Put in an SC request and suggested this may be more serious and asked if they could get me in earlier than the proposed 10/6 date. They asked if I would try to charge at an Super Charger...no problem. No go! It won't charge at all so I let them know I was on my way.....
SC took me right in, quickly mentioned how this was their first CT issue of this magnitude and let me know they cannot work on high voltage there. So the pack will be dropped and sent to (I assume Austin) the factory. A new pack will be shipped to them and they will install it. Likely a 2wk process so they offered me a CT (Non-Beast), Model S, or a Model X.
I walked the options with the rep, the X was an older model so nah! The Model S isn't a refresh but it's a 2022 with Yoke steering wheel.
Fine! Tesla took care of me and I have transportation but let me begin my rant:
Holy shit the Model S is dirty...then I forgot how low they are (quickly remembered tricks from my Plaid, keep it high to get in/out then drop it down. The yoke and steering is god awful and it feels like I am driving a piece of shit. i know it's the CT SBW, 4-wheel turning but this is not starting off well at all and will take some time getting use to.
So there it is...my turn to have a major issue, albeit a first across all my Tesla's over the years. I was due eh? Cheers!
