Last week I ordered a CT AWD, this is both my first EV and Truck that I've even ever driven entirely in my life. I've always owned small sporty JDM/Euro cars (My last cars were Supra, M2 ect ) I am expecting the size to feel HUGE but besides that Is there anything general I should know as truck ownership specific to the Cybertruck or even trucks in general?

Sure. Here are a few things you may notice.
- More body roll, you are higher off the ground with a less stiff suspension.
- probably a smoother ride than your other sporty cars.
- a larger turning radius, which is better on the Cybertruck due to rear wheel steering, but still more.
- If you do any sort of projects thinking “it’s so handy to have a ton of back storage, why didn’t I get a truck before?”
- a higher ride height feels like you are safer on the road, at least for me.

others may have more things to add.

Don't drive in the left lane unless actively passing another vehicle. This isn't specific to the CyberTruck, but just got to work and thought it would be a good reminder for everyone, to prevent from prevent me from commit some horrible crimes.

Also this thing won't brake like your other cars, which will be surprising considering how much faster it will accelerate.

My first vehicle I ever bought was an F-150 SuperCab. My first vehicle I ever drove was a Suburban 2500 with American Racing wheels. It's what I took my driver's test on and I ended up parking on all four cones because it was so wide, but hey they couldn't fail me for that even though technically you're supposed to not touch them.

So we come from opposite ends, but I've also driven everything from a Stratus RT back in the day to a Mach-E GT Performance for a year. I can tell you that through the years, trucks have gotten harder to park (due to the longer wheelbase) but also much improved parking sensors and camera systems. The last truck I drove before the CT was an F-150 with 360 camera system and sonic sensors. Parking in it was extremely easy after you got the turning radius down. The CT has the opposite going on. The parking aid system is not as good, but the turning radius is better. What I do is keep an eye on the driver's side rear wheel (remember it turns too though) and get myself lined up where I'm between both lines, then head back until the I'm far enough. The bumper is visible in the rear camera, use that to your advantage, it's very accurate.

The braking will not be like you're used to. It's good brakes, but physics is physics.

The higher ride height will feel safer and you'll have a little better visibility on the road.

You will 100% get used to the interior cabin size very quickly, and everything smaller will feel cramped for a bit.

Having a trackbed is extremely useful if you're a person who doesn't like to wait for deliveries. It's awesome to just go grab a new tv or chairs, or table, or plywood. Or even an awesome deal on a floor-model grill. Guess what you don't need to do their rental for "$19" for the hour plus a million fees and signing paperwork and gassing it up. Just take it and go.

There's a lot of advantages to a truck, and why I ultimately always end up back in one.

My previous vehicle to the Beast was a Brabus Smart Car (not joking). I had never owned or driven a truck prior to taking delivery.

The Beast is a dream to drive, I had no trouble with the transition.

1) The size will surprise you in that you feel the weight of it. That feeling lasted about 3 days for me.
2) The ride is so stable and smooth.
3) When you are pulling into a parking spot or your garage you will feel like you are going to hit something because the front of the car is so much shorter than you perceive it to be. Use the front camera.
4) You will try to find reasons to drive it, which won’t make sense to you because it is a truck.
5) You will try to justify driving another vehicle because taking the truck seems like overkill. Then you will remember that even though it weighs 6600 lbs it is still more cost effective to drive than your smaller ICE car.
6) You should know that you will make more trips to the garage just to check in on your baby and say goodnight to it.

This is my first truck and EV as well; coming from a Jeep Wrangler.

1. Most important thing if you plan on hauling stuff, learn how to strap things down correctly. Get bungee cords and straps and throw them under the backseat. You'll be glad you have them (and not buried under the load in the bed) when you need them.
2. You'll have range anxiety for a bit until you get used to it, or install an EV charger at home. Charging at Superchargers or anywhere else doesn't really feel cheaper than owning an ICE vehicle cause I charge much more often than I gas up the Wrangler.
3. The truck can park itself, so for the most part you'll be okay. It does do it pretty slowly, and may embarrass you at times, but it's handy to have when you're unsure how to do it.
4. Don't haul stuff for free unless you REALLY like the person/friend. Once you do it once, you'll become the "goto" guy for that stuff.

Thanks everyone! I am able to demo one in my area but am on the fence about whether its worth my time because I know I want this vehicle anyway. These are all good things to look out for when I get it, I really appreciate it.

For potential future owner, question on charging.

Anyone notice a difference in costs $ +/- from older Tesla/EV and the Cybertruck to fully charge at home to 80%?

Haven’t noticed monetary increase with going from Model 3 LR to Lightning.

Fake news! Guess it depends on location.

FWIW, it's nothing like any truck I've owned (beyond having a bed). So lack of past experience isn't necessarily an issue. Just keep in mind it is longer when turning in traffic.
