You won’t miss the lightening…trust me!

Agree, having had the CT for a couple weeks now it is just amazing....only negative is I wacked my head on the frunk....man that heavy stainless packs a punch

took 2 short road trips already (would have taken the model s or ICE when I had my lightning) and it was just excellent

On another note I looked recently and lease deals I guess expired.....pricing looks to be about $150 more per month compared to what deal I have...debating still if to buy now off lease or dump the money in the market and see if I can beat the 6.5% interest

The CT demand lever will need to be pulled again. Cybertruck demand has shifted since November, 2019.

This used 2,381 mile $73,700 demo unit is the least expensive 2024 in local inventory.

Anyone who qualifies for the $7,500 tax credit isn‘t even considering a leftover 2024 model let alone a used demonstrator unit.

Exactly. Why would I pay $73k for a used CT when I can get a new one cheaper? There is a local Foundation series CT for about 80k listed at a Rando dealership with 1k miles on it, which all in all isn't a bad deal. But something sketches me out about buying a used CT from a random used car dealer. Plus, I'd have to pay cash when I can get 1.99%, and hell, cashback savings make more than that after taxes anyway. Even at 3.63% say at discover 2.73% after taxes is better than 1.99% otherwise i would just pay cash

The post above was from last Saturday, so six days ago. Today I looked again and saw a 2024 demo with 2,529 miles for $73,620. So that's a "price adjustment" of $6,370, or about 8.0% off. It's a new record low for a Cybertruck in Tesla inventory (again, before tax credits or gas savings).

Maybe this one is cheaper because of the mileage. Or maybe Tesla is slowly and stealthily increasing the discounts on 2024 demos as we move further into 2025.
New low: here's a 2024 demo with 2,785 miles for $73,490. So that's a $6,500 "price adjustment, or about 8.1% off. Still doesn't match the $7,500 tax credit though.

Maybe the strategy is to keep putting miles on demos, which would justify further discounts.

Alternatively, a $6,500 discount would become more attractive if the tax credit went away.

Cybertruck discount update - April 6, 2025:

OK, here is a "2024 Repaired Demo Vehicle" with 2,082 miles for $71,990. Not a typo -- that's $8,000 (or 10%) off the list price of $79,990.

It's a new record low for Tesla inventory. In fact, this is the first 2024 that I've seen in Tesla inventory that is actually cheaper than a brand new 2025 with the tax credit, which would be $72,490. So even if you are eligible for the tax credit, you could save $1,300 by opting for the 2024 repaired demo unit with 2,000 miles instead of the brand new 2025.

Still not convinced that this is a compelling deal, but maybe it's a step in the right direction.

Still not much of a discount for an already repaired vehicle when compared to a new, accident free 2025 with tax credit, if someone qualifies.

I fully agree.

I would not even consider a used AND repaired 2024 CT over a fresh off the assembly line 2025. The $1300 savings are negligible.

I'm shopping used Model S Plaids now. As someone who doesn't qualify for any tax credits, Tesla's pricing is all that matters. If i was shopping for a CT, a used 2024 with a few thousand miles on it for $72k sounds like a steal compared to $80k new. Tesla adds a year to the warranty on any used vehicle, so a 2024 could potentially have a longer warranty than the new CT.

Yea, I had to read that twice to make sure I understood it.
So a beat up interior, repaired, driven, 2024 with all the early production problems for a whopping 2% price discount......no thanks.

I wonder the condition of most demo vehicles, I wonder if they have all been taken for 5 mile test drives so one with 1,000 miles on it has had the seats adjusted 200x, mirrors, wheel height, doors opened via emergency latch instead of button etc.

I've been told by a Tesla insider to skip Repaired anything. You never know the exact damage extent and the discount isn't large enough.

Anyhow, I would 100% buy a demo. I bought a demo Y in 2021 and a friend got a Model S demo that was great. They are taken care of by Tesla since they are the front facing vehicles.
