I wouldn't brag about needing to be supervised, I'm surprised they still let you post here.
Surprise!! ? Man you “almost” hurt my feelings on thanksgiving with that, ?
I Didn’t realize I was flexing because I said that ?
I’m just not into one sided censorship but if I get banned I will miss you hauling ass ?

How many horn threads do we need? Moderators to busy following me around than combining threads!
Well the first thread was only created last night, and today is Thanksgiving...sooooo.... I don't think it is a big priority right now to be on thread combing detail. ?‍♂

Thanksgiving miracle! My update successfully went through this morning! Anyone else who was failing last night also get it to work?

Just saw this message in the Tesla app. Told it to “Upgrade Now” and by the time I walked in to the garage it had updated.

Does the update eliminate the various horn sound options in the menus? If so, why would they go from several horn options to none?
Thanks.

Thanks.

What a nice Thanksgiving surprise!

The only two things I was a bit jealous of on the non-FS Beast were the horn and the Beast logo on the dash.

At least this checks one of my boxes!
Wait. Beast logo on the dash? Is it the Cerberus or the lettering?

Every update message was successful, but no horn sound here either. Toy box horns work fine.

One data point, I’m visiting family and the truck has no WiFi connection. I did hotspot it to my phone for a few and tried again, but another success message and still nothing.
Killed my horn as well. Well crap!

For those who are gettng no horn or killing the horn completely, be sure your CyberTruck is awake and connected to your WiFi before you install.

Also a thought for those that removed the external speaker as they didn't enjoy the pedestrian warning sound. If they upgrade the internal horn would be disabled, and the external speaker would be as well.

I tested it with a sound meter before and after. Peak sound was 98 decibels before and 93 decibels after. Here are the sound charts:

BEFORE:

Tesla Cybertruck New horn updated! pro-RKOJzkNk

AFTER:
Tesla Cybertruck New horn updated! pro-glAPthbZ

Test consisted of 2 short bursts of the horn which you can see as the 2 peaks close to each other. Peaks are not identical so there is some fluctuation in how the meter reads the sound. I did not hold the horn down for a long period of time and measure that since that's not usually what happens when people sound their horn, but if someone wants to test a sustained sound and read the decibels for that by all means please do. Hopefully this helps those on the fence. I actually like the new sound so the fact it is a few decibels quieter is not a big deal to me, but it may be to some.

Interesting side now, the peak after the double peak is me closing the door of the car and then walking back to the meter on my phone. The decibel level is around 80 decibels both times for the door shutting sound. :)
