For the streakers (lol), I was wondering if you guys tried to clean the actual wiper blades themselves. The deity named "Google" states the most common reason for streaking is a dirty blade. Google goes on to say to utilize dish detergent and/or rubbing alcohol on the blades themselves for possible positive results. That and obviously a clean windshield.

Just curious if yall tried cleaning the actual blade.

Yes, multiple times.
As well, multiple times.
In fact, when you do that, especially with rubbing alcohol, it strips the graphite layer that allows the blade to glide over glass, leaving clean rubber that will gain the tendency to "chatter" jump over the glass, with "squeaky noise". This graphite layer could also be a factor in streaking of new blades, as a weak graphite application strips off the blade after a short usage time.

Cheap glass…. I was under the impression that the cybertruck had superior glass …
So did I.
Fact is, we truly do not know, and Tesla, historically, has not been exactly forthcoming with information.

Wow, that sucks. I hope Tesla comes up with a solution soon. I haven't had issues yet, but haven't had any really bad weather to test it yet either.

I ain’t changing my wiper , while it’s not good I can live with it knowing a replacement may worsen the situation . Won’t take that risk not this winter ….

Literally the only part of new CT ownership that has been less than ideal. Terrible during winter salty road conditions. They gotta fix this. Plus the run off down the drivers side window is crazy. The entire drivers side window is basically unusable after blasting the wiper fluid. I have resorted to driving around with glass cleaner and a roll of paper towels.

I was under the impression the cybertruck has heated wiper but my understanding it only heats where the wiper is parked to prevent freezing or getting stuck . Is this true . I know someone in the thread knows .

The wiper is not heated because it doesn’t have any electrical connections. It’s just heated underneath where it sits. I’m getting what is supposed to be the latest wiper revision (part# ends in E), so I’ll see if there’s any difference compared to the “D” part I have now.

2 outstanding issues I have with the truck that I'm hoping are addressed. Rock hard suspension under acceleration and wiper fluid/cleaning. Both are liveable but work terribly.
Your profile says you have a Rivian R1T, no mention of a Cybertruck.

My suspension feels plenty cushy, even on the firmest setting, and I can't detect any firming up under acceleration.

So your comments confuse me.

Yeah, I think there’s some weird crossover between the two forums because I’m getting notifications and then when I click on them, I end up in the Rivian forum particularly one about a key fob, which clearly is not a cybertruck thing.

Are you suggesting the poster I was responding to was complaining about hard suspension and wiper cleaning on a Rivian but accidentally posted here instead?
