Hey everyone,

Just want to add to the knowledge base on here in case others have this same issue. I got up one morning this month to see that my beast had not charged the night before. When I went out to check on it, I see a charge error on the screen, basically unable to charge, please try another charger. I tried my travel charger and got the same error. I booked it in for service the next day. It's in for a whole week of repair and pickup was going to be this past Friday. I check the app and see it is being test driven in the morning. All looks good. Then I see it is plugged in for charging and the same error is showing in the app with the charge cable red. I message service and they tell me they will look into it. Then I see it is charging in the app. I figure they got it squared away. Wrong!

They called me to tell me that they originally misdiagnosed it. They spent the week replacing the Power Conversion System but that was not the issue. The issue is the ethernet communication cable. The charging I saw in the app was from a supercharger which will work but the communication from a regular charger does not. So they have to replace that ethernet cable and it should be fixed.

My point of posting this is that if you have this same issue of not being able to charge with these errors, have them try to charge at the supercharger and the home charger to rule out the ethernet comm cable before they replace a whole bunch of stuff they don't need to.

I still don't have it back yet but I will update with a final resolution once I do. Upside, they installed my lightbar!

Good to know! It happened to me 2 months ago and service center replaced the entire PCS, but it happened again. I was suspecting they didn’t root cause it since the chances for getting two bad parts so too rare. But they did tell me my HV battery harness is shorted and melted in the prior fix.

It did end up being the comm cable that was causing the error. It could charge on the supercharger but not the home charger. Once that comm cable was changed and it could communicate correctly all was fine. The tech told me that they likely did not need to replace the PCS at all.

Thanks, I will let them know! But I just can’t get any service appointment available in a week even I told them this is an urgent issue. So annoying?

I had the same thing at first then I messaged them in the app and told them I cannot charge at all and they got me in within a day. Have you tried charging at a supercharger?

yes, supercharger worked for both time, but just AC charger won’t work. I called one service center and visited another one, but all they can do is jut put me on the top of the waitlist. Before the 3rd service center opened in Austin, I need 1-2 months to get a appointment, now 1-2 weeks is not too bad, but I was hoping they can squeeze me in for urgent issue ?

Thanks for the advice but I have HVBATTa223 error. The door will not open and I have another error message outlet power door is open and cable is connected? What a mess. SC is booked up until next Tuesday and I have 60% battery left. Helpless with a $100k vehicle

I would message them in the app and let them know you cannot charge and the vehicle is unusable. They got me in within two days once I let them know that.

I did do that and was told that they are booked up and also do not have a loaner vehicle available as well. Also the roadside assistance does not cover assistance for charging support financial to add insult to the injury
